Cayenne Spy pics: Cayenne facelift

The Porsche Cayenne is a series of automobiles manufactured by Porsche since 2002. It is a luxury crossover SUV, and has been described as both a full-sized and a mid-sized vehicle.
I don't think it's much of an improvement at all over the current car.

I have a weird question. Would I get into serious trouble if I took of the masking tape on a parked test mule?

Not if you put it back in place after made some pics. :usa7uh:

And you should do that unnoticed. If you got caught, you would be in trouble. I guess test drivers would beat you up. :D

Just aweful, how come Porsche can`t focus more on SUV design language while giving this vehicle subtle Porsche enhancements. Thay go too far with the 911 design theme.

Dare I say, that's hardly an improvement. Supercar styling cues (more overtly so on this facelift compared with the original) mated to SUV bulk aren't a happy combination. I prefer the old one for now. Perhaps official pics will change my mind?

Yes, I it's illegal ( I read that somewhere) - if you get caught that is. Plus, these test mule drivers are paid to protect these vehicles. Just my two cents....

BTW, I like the facelifted Cayenne so far. I like how the exhausts are integrated into the bumper.

SPY PHOTOS: Porsche Cayenne Facelift Undisguised
Earlier Release

Due to a considerable sales decrease of Porsche’s off-roader Cayenne, the sports car maker has decided to switch the facelifted model’s launch to an earlier date, which is now the Geneva Motor Show in spring 2007.

In 2005-2006 Porsche sold only 34,000 new Cayennes, in particular sales went down in the United States dramatically, because also the American buyers meanwhile have to struggle with the high fuel costs in their country. Now Porsche hopes to successfully re-enter the market with the new facelifted Cayenne II. These two photos are showing a prototype of the restyled version without any disguise.
