Although often lambasted as being nothing more than a C3 Audi 100 on steroids, I love those Audi V8s'. And have done so from the time that they were first presented back in the summer of 1988. A refreshing entry in a segment occupied by the ( long in tooth) W126 S-Class and quite fabulous (but too commonplace) BMW E32 7er.

Of course, Audis' DTM presence enhanced my enthusiasm:

I've noticed that Munich, Frankfurt/Main, Düsseldorf and Berlin are great venues for those passionate about carspotting. Hamburg is rather boring in comparison, I'm afraid.

Really? The last time I was in Hamburg I saw so many cool cars. And I was not even near the Reeperbahn! :D

Well, the Reeperbahn and vicinity is home to a number of matte-painted, black-rimmed Lamborghini Aventadors. That car appears to be a vehicle of choice in...ummm..."certain" circles. And one can often see some very nice cars parked in front of the Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten on the Neuer Jungfernstieg. Or the very affluent Nienstedten or Blankenese neighborhoods. But it strikes me that the other aforementioned cities somehow seem to have a larger concentration of exciting automobiles.
