I have auth. yes but there are MB mods for the mb section. If you want to notify moderators then you can report posts you dont like and the Mods will get PM about the specific posts you have reported.

Could be, not sure. As always I won't have a definite opinion until the dealer down the street has them on his lot or I see it up close at Detroit in January.

M

Maybe it'll be a like a Ferrari. Horribly un-photogenic :eusa_thin

Wimmer did say it was beautiful (in person).

Well, usually I also hate when threads get 'cleaned', locked, or deleted; in fact it was the cause of my infamous clash with a few moderators a while ago, but this time I agree with Andreas -- the arguing I saw was becoming pointless.

You're not exactly mentioned wimmer. Just a heads up!

OMG, freaking thieves!!! Incredible! Wimmer, sue them :D

Yeah, but what is EXTREMELY strange is the fact that the post that started it all (Merc1 with his trolling), was completely ignored by Just_me, and is still standing proud in this thread. Well done :t-cheers::t-cheers: (not!!!)

Was the shape and proportions as good as the Lexus LS?

Well the current Lexus LS is a good-looking car because it is nicely designed and very elegant. It lacks, however, aggressive and sporty styling cues and that's ok because that's not what Lexus is about.

The new BMW 7-Series to me seemed well-poportioned, sleek, low and sporty and all these traits fit the BMW badge well. The last BMW 7-Series was just terribly ugly. It looked fat and overweight and completely lacked a sporty or elegant design language that is clearly visible on this model. :t-cheers:

Already posted a comment. Thanks all for making me aware of this. :t-cheers:
Christian, we replied to you. There was a source cited, and if you look all the way below the last photo, you can see that. We just didn't mentioned your name since the photos were emailed to us along with the link to the forum, and I apologize for not following the link and see your exact screen name was.

All is well. :t-cheers:

Interesting memory for those American tourists I bet. "In Germany people stop their cars randomly and start taking pictures for no apparent reason" ;)

I actually loved the last facelifted 7 series. I seriously hope that this thing looks better in person (hopefully at this year's motor show) because for me, the front looks like a brick.

Still, thanks a lot Ricardo for sharing.

Christian - Thanks for the first class "real world" pictures!

I am hoping that my usual it-doesn't-look-so-good-in-pictures opinion, is once again affecting my ability to see the real beauty of the new 7. Maybe it's the color, as styling lines are too hidden in black as they should be on some designs, i.e. W140 Mercedes. Then again, maybe it's a little too Lexus LS460. I would like to see BMW be a real competitor in the large luxury market, but in these pictures, I just don't see the excitement of what should be a very special car.

Anytime. It looks really good in real life. Definitely sporty and classy and elegant too. :usa7uh:

Front end and side profile from the A-pillar foward are a mess. Car looks unbalanced and ill-proportioned.

M

I agree....Almost proportioned like the SLR

Chris did shoot it with a wide angle lens -- there is some slight distortion of the perspective.

^ It still looks 10 times better than the W221 could ever dream of. So sleek and powerful
