Giulia Speculative - Alfa Romeo Giulia (159 replacement)

The Alfa Romeo Giulia is a compact executive car produced by Alfa Romeo. Known internally as the Type 952, it was unveiled in June 2015, with market launch scheduled for February 2016, and it is the first saloon offered by Alfa Romeo after the production of the 159 ended in 2011.
I don't care it's FWD, RWD or AWD as long as it drives good enough and looks as beautiful as the 159, 166, 156, etc

My Alfa 147 is FWD. It looks good but I'm always regretting it is not RWD as the 1 Series, though I like how it drives. Of course in this class it is not necessary, but as a 3 Series rival yes. Remember Alfa Romeos were always RWD until they got bought by FIAT. FWD is not premium, it is mainstream, so for the Gulia to compete in the upper class, it needs FR/F4-L layout.

I know I always bring up my preference, and maybe I must not, because most know that already, and when I say I would prefere a RWD R8 or Aventador it is useless becasue I anyway won't be able to afford any of them. But in the case it is important for me. I would care about the Lexus IS either if it was FWD like the Toyota Avensis, though a good car. Funny think is that me RWD fan, havn't bought any VW Scirocco because it has no AWD, unlike the Golf and the A3. Why the only non-SUV 4WD car I'd buy, doesn't have that? :banghead:

^^^I agree, it's got to look achingly beautiful. And it's gotta drive well.

^All I meant was most of Levi's post of late make reference to his preference of RWD and isn't interested in anything that doesn't offer this up. We know already what he likes so can we not keep going there.

As for the images in Autocar, I sincerely hope they are realistic because they are incredible compared to what the Germans are currently serving up.

Gotcha, point taken.

Oh and whilst on the subject of achingly beautiful, who in their right mind would take a TT, Z4, SLK, GT86 over the 4C.

To me Alfa are the only normally priced manufacturer to offer designs that only the super rich can afford.

I prefere the Duettottanta by Pininfarina, but please as coupé.

Duettottanta>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>4C

4C is a bit cartonish, like MiTo and Giulietta. I don't like the 8C wannabe look on them. Is like Porsche, trying to apply the 911 look to the Cayene and Panamera with those eye hurting results

Regards!

Whole****ingheartedly agree, but this Alfa rebirth talk is older than the internet. How about less hype and more action Mr. Marchionne?
I'm not a fan of cocky Sergio. He's done some good things with the American brands but failed with Alfa and might fail with his approach to increase Ferrari output.

Will Alfa Romeo steal Geneva with their new Concept car which looks like a sedan.

So does anyone know when this is going to be shown? I would have thought they would have wanted to show it on the first day if it does indeed hint at their upcoming sedan.

Relax, it was just the 4C spider

Well, that's disappointing. Then again, ol' Sergie-boy said that they would release it in June of this year to coincide with ALFA's centenary (or was it 105th anniversay?). I was hoping we'd might see a concept version in Geneva.

Guys, they already said a few months ago that a new Alfa will be shown June.
