The M5 is good if you want a practical car and able to travel comfortable with 4 people but since I dont have any children and the car is only for me then I choose M6.

But if you make some children, where are you gonna put them? In the boot lid??? :D

I would get something else for carrying children, too dangerous to drive that fast with the little dudes. The sports car's for me! ;) :t-drive:

Public transportation for the kids, M6 for daddy.

Sounds like a perfect deal; M6 over M5 any day!

M6.... i love the races i saw on video so far, that car has me. Dont car for practicallity.

I didnt choose the M5 based on versatility. I chose it on looks. I personally think its a better looking car than the somewhat awkward M6. I like the Chin spoiler better, The interior is more direct, and the rear doesnt have a weird boot lid..

M6 for me for some of the reasons already discussed. I don't need the extra space.

Cheesus, this is a hard one!

One is far more practical and has much more sleeper feeling wich is appreciate very much but the other one has stunning sex appeal, better looks plus more robust body AFAIK.

Oh well, six more than five, give M6. You can see 5-series BMW around here every day but 6-series is extremely rare.

After seeing several M5's in person this weekend, I can't see how anyone would ever want an M6... or any other car for that matter :D

I'm going to take the M5's side here. Not only is it the better-looking vehicle (subjective, I know), it's got the extra seats to boot. It's not that much slower than the M6, even with the extra weight, and plus, it's cheaper.

But I would love it if the M5 came with a lower weight and that schmick carbon fibre roof.

LoL, an M5 SSL! Dude, that would be too sick!

-2 rear racing seats as opposed to three
-Carbon fiber roof
-lightweight rims
-cardboard trunk(not your grocery store run car)
-Carbon fiber airbox w/ an increase of 50hp
-4 inch quad exhaust tips w/ reworked system for more sound
-Carbon fiber front & rear bumper
-Carbon fiber interior trim
-Alcantara Steering wheel and instrument hood
-No radio/cd/ (air con opt)

Ahhh, my thousandth post... next generation M5...

and they could add another 500 horses on top of the 50 I mentioned.

We used to be tied, Im not even an advocate yet.. :D

I think the M5 CSL is unlikely, but the M6 CSL is probably going to happen. I hope they send those to the U.S. but I kind of doubt it...

Of course, especially since CSL stands for Coupe Sports Lightweight.

Hence the "SSL" :usa7uh:

Though unlikely, still fun to talk about... and I for sure wouldn't be suprised if we saw such a thing out of one of the tuners.

I hate mod jobs for M cars. Especially when there changing exterior stuff. Tamper with the engine and ECU, but not the looks.
