A friend on the 1er M forum works for the MINICHAMPS company in Germany so he got exclusive quantity. But he has convinced MiNICHAMPS to produce the BMW 1er M Coupe in 1/18 scale ,and we should expect an announcement at the Nuremberg Toy expo next February.

Ohhh, the importance and influence of forums. Makes you wonder how the 1/1 got worst these days.

Scott, how big is your 1:43 collection? I have a really big 1:43 collection. MR-Collection and Looksmart are prime for me :)

I thought it is extremely obvious to have a 1/18 1er M coupe model, why do Minichamps need any convincing? Shouldn't Kyosho be the one making them since they are already making 1/18 1series models.

The whole collection is in boxes as I was planning to move to another apartment years ago and left them so.
Will take some pictures for you. I already have some pictures taken years ago.

BMW did have one planned via HOTWORKS along with an M3 GTS. HOTWORKS became insolvent and in China the law states that everything is held until after all proceedings have been dealt with. Of course other companies bought the model rights but had to apply for license from BMW. So these HOTWORKS cars are appearing from other companies now.

But we have new models coming within the next year such as 1/18 and 1/43 scale BMW i3 and BMW i8 , BMW 4er Coupe and BMW X5.
There also some of next years cars in the process such as the M3 and M4 Coupe and M235i. And if you like Rolls-Royce the new Wraith and the new MINI are also coming as miniatures.

I have a few miniatures in my office such as the BMW Vision EfficientDynamics , a Rolls-Royce Ghost , BMW M5 and BMW 1M Coupe. In amongst items like glassware from Scottish artist Charles Rennie McIntosh ( I love the Art Deco and typography) along with prints by Dali etc

I know some people at BMW who are complete miniature maniacs including one such person that built a special lounge for his 1/1s , but shares the space with a huge collection of BMW miniatures from throughout the companies history in all scales but showcased within each model series.

SCOTT why do your 1:43 1Ms come in a box of strawberries?

Because they are equally delicious.

My latest Looksmart model is the 1/43 La Ferrari which is excellent and full of exquisite detailing representative of the actual model.
I will occasionally buy a high priced 1/43 if the model is appealing as the actual car. I have pre-ordered the 1/43 Maserati Ghibli from BBR.
I don't necessary limit manufacturers or scales but choices this day in scale are rapidly diminishing.

I did get my 1/43 Range Rover

And a 1/43 Mercedes-Benz S-Klasse

Does Kyosho still have an agreement with BMW to continue to make 1/18 models? The 1/18 Rolls Royce Ghost by Kyosho is absolutely packed with details, and the fit, finishing of the model is top notch. It will be a shame if Kyosho will not produce more models for BMW in the future.

Astro A30+mix amp 2013 edition.

The headphone feels pretty cheap and flimsy but it is comfortable to wear. The mix amp is where the magic happens. Going to pair the mix amp with my v moda m80.

And how about this for a touch of genius. Available from BMW.
1/43 scale BMW Vision EfficientDynamics powered by batteries.
It drives and lights up and even makes the sound as the VED.

How much did that set you back Monster ? :)

About $340AUD shipped..can't get them for any lower in Australia. They are way way out of my original budget, but one thing lead to another. I have a pair of V moda M 80 but I can't wear them for more than 2 hours without my ears going numb.
