I was waiting for someone to bring this up. BMW has announced worldwide headcount reductions over various years, with the most recent major, newsworthy reduction occurring in 2020. I also know BMW has cut their consulting budget in various areas such as the U.S. sales channel in recent years.
Do we really think their "creative marketing team" is still funding a headcount to post on forums which are otherwise known as a dying form of communication and influence? Social media mediums have quickly and significantly passed forums in terms of traffic/influence in the last decade. I just can't believe someone would be paying Scott to do this in this age, especially when all he does is post vaguely and doesn't even post information that drives traffic directly to anything BMW currently offers.
His paying job may be to creatively reach consumers and would-be consumers, but I seriously doubt participation on this forum is what his manager is paying him to do. If so, that sounds like a poor return on investment. Just my thoughts...
