Set to be built over the course of the next 18 months, the SCG 004S is a street-legal supercar with a carbon fiber chassis and body that enables it to weigh around 2,600 pounds (1,179 kg).

The interior has a McLaren F1-style three person seating arrangement and drivers will face a three-spoke steering wheel and an assortment of different gauges. The model also has toggle switches and rotary knobs that will allow drivers to easily deactivate and adjust various systems such as the anti-lock brakes and traction control system.

Power will be provided by a twin-turbo 5.0-liter V8 engine that produces around 650 PS (478 kW) and 720 Nm (531 lb-ft) of torque. It will be connected to a six-speed manual transmission but a paddle shift gearbox will also be available as an option.

Pricing starts at $400,000 and the company expects to have running prototypes completed by the middle of next year. The first 25 production models will be "Founders Editions" and they are slated to be delivered in 2018 and 2019. The company will then begin gearing up to produce 250 units annually. SCG also plans to offer GT3 and GTE/GTLM versions of the car in the future.

Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus is currently accepting pre-orders and interested customers will need to make a deposit of $40,000.

5.0 l v8 TT with 8200 rpm redline..so is it based on 4.4 l v8 from Manifattura Automobili Torino or ..just maybe.. a Ford Voodoo?

From first look it looks like some no-name model from a low-graphics racing game.

But then again, I'd rather see this than the Tesla badged high-resolution render-vapourware.

And in a slightly different sidenote, as an automotive enthusiast it's great to see small brands show such focused machines in these times we live!

You have to applaude them for the authentic and vintage approach to interaction with the car. Everything the driver needs to know or can change is straight in front. The gate transmission is a huge bonus too.

I can see this appealing to racing enthusiasts who want modern performance with 1970s rawness and nostalgia.

I'm fan of the 003, I like what Jim's trying to do, and I like what he's done. I respect him for his attitude to racing, especially at the Nordschleife.

This is not a pretty car though.

No airbags in sight, so it is road legal?

250 units annually? Not so sure about that, Jim.

We are a NHTSA Low Volume US manufacturer and are allowed to sell 325 cars annually that are exempt from some safety and emmisions regulations including airbags.

Our 25 (28 with one prototype and 2 Completion versions) Car Founders Edition of SCG 004S is almost sold out.
When those are gone, which will likely be very soon we will begin taking orders for our 2019-2020 run of 250 more.

Thanks for the response, Jim (y) Great to see you on GCF. And congratulations on your successful automotive endeavor.

I quite like it, for a number of reasons, primarily because it doesn't conform to the current generic supercar-wannabe design regime.
Certain aesthetic compromises have been made in order to benefit the driver; visibility, especially, appears to be a hallmark out of that bubble canopy and the central driving position remains as cool today as it was back in 1995. [Except on a Tesla semi]

I see a number of design cues reminding me of other cars which potentially can result in pastiche but somehow it hasn't ended up that way. There's Ferrari 308 in that nose profile married with a bridging aerofoil reminiscent of that Yamaha OX99-11 concept car from the 90s. Then there's certainly some Ford GT familiarity with those suspended buttresses whilst the rear reminds a bit of the XJ220. An interesting, non-conformist design whose purpose appears to combine some evocative, retro themes with up-to-date technical concepts.

Looks like a OX99 from the front and the side profile has a lot of Ford GT, I think the looks would improve significantly if the roof wasn't completely glazed, the blue from the buttresses needs to continue over the tops of the doors. I do like the central driving position, I'm surprised more supercars haven't taken up this design feature, it's practical, increases passenger capacity by 50% and you only need to build one version, so I would assume it's cheaper to build.

We've begun building Glickenhaus 004C chassis 1 (GT3/SPX)

Our goal is first drive (which will be by me) third week of January. Glickenhaus 004S build chassis 000 will begin build in a few weeks. Glickenhaus 004CS soon thereafter. 004's are center driver two rear passenger seats. We've stretched the cockpit 125mm to give the rear passengers more head and shoulder room which worked very well. Now two 6'5" passengers can sit in the back. We've engineered the car to be fully US 50 State legal. Our first crash testing will begin soon. This has been quite a journey. This one will really be something... Here's Glickenhaus 004S.
