This new W221 S65 AMG is going to be even more expensive than the W220
S65! If the W221 S550 has an 8% price increase we can expect the same for the S65. I believe the asking price for the currant S65 is something in the neighborhood of $185,800. The new one might be around $200,000!!

The W220 S65 looks rather tame compared to the W221 S65!
I knew MB would use the spoiler treatment idea from the SL65. It`s really awesome!!

We should expect those on the E63 and CLS63!

If I`m not mistaken the torque has increased from 1000nm to 1200nm!!
That a jump from 734lb-ft to 885lb-ft!! I remember reading a rumer about this awhile back. So this new one should be a hair faster than the W220!!

yeah the specs are the same.. but its heavier.. so i think there have been some small tweaks.. there was something about the exhaust system that i read

Thats a big jump from 734lb-ft. And the W220 S65 got complaints from off the line starts because of it monster torque, The W221 is going to be even worse!

I believe MB need to offer 4-matic to even out the torque of this monster tire shredding machine!

Actually Carlton, the S550's MSRP will be less than the previous S500 (at least for the US), so the w221 S65 might be around the same MSRP as the w220 S65.

High torque requires a reinforced powertrain

My bad, looks like the torque is the same 1000nm. I just went over the specs.
(I guess this is proof I`ve been away for awhile. )

The S65 should make it`s debut sometime next month here in the us.
