S65 Amg

So what do you guys think, is it going to be more expensive than old S65 or are they keeping the price?

I'd say it will be a little bit more expensive just like the regular W221 models are compared to the W220 models.

That's an interesting question. They will probably keep the price down and it will likely cost 150k. I really hope that it's not much more expensive that that otherwise we won't spot it on the roads.

At least not in Sweden. I think I can count all 65 cars on my 10 fingers that exist in Sweden :t-hands: I have never even met a 65 on the swedish roads. I have seen one Enzo, two SLR and and one CGT but never a 65 AMG. Its a shame :(

I haven't seen any 65 car myself but I have seen alot of 55 cars and since the 65 models are the successors there is a chance of spotting this demon on the roads. The car is probably going to be so expensive that one might not even be spotted in Sweden until 8 months or something.

Im amazed that it has the same performance figures as the W220 with the same power...
The W220 was much lighter.. it was even lighter than the A8 and 7er.. and the W221 is heavier than those both.. so i guess the tweaks on the drive line and the exhause helped them out..

PS
I have some huge pics but i cant host them at imageshack.. so if anyone wants them or can host them.. PM me and ile give you my msn or email :D--

Ohh and in those pics you can see that the brakes are pretty wierd.. the caliper covers half the discs..
The exhaust tips are connected :D
AMG logo can be seen on the rev counter..
And the IWC clock and V12 badge on the dash :D

I'm so very impressed that MB can launch a boat like that from 0-100 in 4.4s... that's just crazy!

Kudos to MB for delivering another mental car :t-crazy2: :usa7uh:

We need to get more pictures.. i want to see more.. so excited :D haha

I've just taken a look at high resolution pictures and the brake pads covers all most a third of the disc :eyebulge6 :eyebulge6 now I really want to know the dimentions for the discs. As for the interior the IWC is an excellent touch ´but I still would like to see more AMG details in the interior.

I think there are some more.. from that angle you cant see. .but im sure that the seats are AMG.. and the door sills.. and maybe something more :D

Could those pictures not be reduced in scale and posted.........please

PM them to me if you want, I'll make them smaller and post them :usa7uh:

Now I'm just excited at the idea of the CL65 - boy, Bentley must be worried, this S65 and the CL65 are really going to do some damage to Flying Spur and Continental GT sales.

Here you go man.. Composite brake discs at the front and rear with a diameter of 390 and 365 millimetres respectively ensure the shortest stopping distances, remarkable strength and outstanding sensitivity.

That doesent say much to me.. but they look damn huge.. maybe someone can post som nr´s of other cars to compare

PS
Roberto you got PM :D

The pisctures the identical to the ones posted here but with a much higher resolution making it possible to look very close and see all details. i agree with you on that one. MB really have put them selves back on the top of the hill with this car. :usa7uh:

Un-flippin' believable. I wasn't expecting a new kit! And the new stearing wheel looks sweet as hell. :D

For the S65?? well i think when the competion will be closer.. no need now..
But i heard tha MB is making a new V12 wich will be in the new Pagani supercar.. so i guess when that comes.. and AMG get their hands on it :D
