Chiron [Rumors] Bugatti Chiron Successor

Post number 199 has been selected as best answered.

The Bugatti Chiron is a mid-engine two-seater sports car designed and developed in Germany by Bugatti Engineering GmbH. It was manufactured in Molsheim, France, by French automobile manufacturer Bugatti Automobiles S.A.S.. The successor to the Bugatti Veyron, the Chiron was first shown at the Geneva Motor Show on 1 March 2016.

This car is going to be EPIC!!! Wow V16 NA that revs to 9000RPM. The output per liter of 120PS is still hugely impressive for a NA engine. The engine will probably have about 900nm of torque and combined with those 3 electric motors will have massive low-down thrust. I am curious to know what road speed the power of the 3 motors will be exhausted. Surely it can't run all the way to the 445km/h top speed? A 25kwh battery is the same size as that in the hybrid E-class models, so it would be interesting to see how they packed it in the central tunnel.

+ How many consecutive top speed runs can they cope tolerate. Probably maaaaany given the large than life price tag before options.

Top speed runs are History. Mate can ofcourse overturn previous (questionable) management's choices, so let's see.

twice as powerful diffuser eliminates the need to deploy the rear wing even at high speed
I want to see how they got around the (likely transversely mounted) transmission with said big diffuser.

Also, is there even an active wing this time around? Could they do away with it entirely, if the diffuser really is that powerful? I'm sure it would save them much needed weight.

Rear looks like mix of La voiture noire and Mistral
Can you share with us what the taillight signature looks like? Those two are very different.

I bet it's closer to the Voiture Noire, for one reason only: Mistral's Y shape is too close to Lamborghini's taillight signature.
To be fair, the LVN is also too close to P1, but that's an old car and McLaren has since went a different way on their new designs.

km/h
0-100= 1.81/ 2 seconds under
0-200= 4.42/ 5 seconds under
0-300= 9.22/ 10 seconds under
0-400= 21.31/ 25 seconds under

It'll be an interesting fight!
It's a bullet and EV and everything, but I always thought that that Rimac is very ugly, it must be the ugliest hypersuper of all by a wide margin, or rather, dull and bland, which is worse

Yes, taillights are very simillar to Voiture Noire.
Front grille and side intake is simillar to Mistral.
Headlights are simmilar to Chiron. They also have 4-segment LED-s, but with modern interpretation.

It's nice. So what do you do if you want EV? You possibly get the Italian Sister project.🙂

Too slow.
I know about AMS Performance and Underground Racing Lamborghini's. I got to know Jordan Martin for awhile.

I Love aftermarket modified Supercars.

Keyword. Not stock production. A couple of Bugatti guys that have UGR'a as daily drivers (almost) from memory.

Definitely not hypercars, but nice machines though.

The combined electric motor output of 750kw (1020PS) is virtually the same as what is in the Tesla Plaid, so I don't think its groundbreaking. The next AMG electric car coming in 2025 will have nearly 500PS per motor so about 1000PS with 2 motors. So Bugatti definitely has room to move upwards with their power outputs in future.

In the era of hybrids and EVs, acceleration and power will be ubiquitous. The Chiron successor will stand out with an NA engine and the highest top speed. Even this won't matter as the motivating factor for buying one will be prestige, wanting the best and social clout.

I know of an actual owner who has (had perhaps it's been awhile) a Bugatti Chiron and you know why I rated him so much? It wasn't a big deal to him. He actually had a Lamborghini that had been twin turbocharged and in terms of track and straight line performance but he said the Bugatti was peerless.

It's a word I've heard quite a few times over the years. I individually believe only Pagani is within reach of that.

I'm curious how this media got this information? Bugatti's confidentiality work has always been very strict
