The Bugatti Chiron is a mid-engine two-seater sports car designed and developed in Germany by Bugatti Engineering GmbH. It was manufactured in Molsheim, France, by French automobile manufacturer Bugatti Automobiles S.A.S.. The successor to the Bugatti Veyron, the Chiron was first shown at the Geneva Motor Show on 1 March 2016.

I'm curious how this media got this information? Bugatti's confidentiality work has always been very strict
Well AMuS is one of the oldest German Car Magazines and they probably have close connections within the VW Group, so there is a good chance they could get sneak peak of information about a new car before its launched.

Apparently, directly from Bugatti:

"Bugatti has developed a completely new 8.3-litre naturally aspirated V16 engine with hybrid power for the successor to the W16 Chiron. We have already been able to admire the masterpiece and its breathtaking sound."

They also talk about certain details as coming from by Bugatti that are not in the press release or video.

I individually believe only Pagani is within reach of that.
I think Bugatti is more boutique. It's more if you know you know.

Bugatti is more blockbuster with a clearer proposition: The fastest car in the world and the first one with 1000hp.

The Veyron was the blockbuster car in 2005 with its over 400km/h top speed. I remember it was all the talk of the town when it was released. A massive 1000HP and 407km/h top speed put its mark as probably the first car to be called the Hypercar.

The car is just under 20 years old but even today, its hp, torque and acceleration figures are world class compared with an AMG-One. It's the concorde of automobiles.

When I first read the facelift part I too was disappointed, but the more I think about it, I don't think that's such a bad thing.

The design of the Chiron is stunning, so why mess with a good thing? I think more and more brands are realizing that Porsche's strategy with the 911 is the winning formula. Just keep perfecting an already outstanding design. Rolls Royce has now done that with the 2 generations of the Phantom, and Range Rover has now done it with 2 generations of the top Rover. Something that Mercedes should have definitely done with the SL.

And Bugatti now has so many hallmarks of the brand that I don't think are ever going anywhere. The horseshoe grill, the central spine, the sweeping C on the side, and the light bar that extends the entire rear.

Range Rover has kept styling continuity with all generations of Range Rover, the visual link between the latest and the Spenser King original is just as strong as the current 911 to the original 911.

Having 16 cylinders is so crazy when you see it displayed like this.
My brain has no issues seeing a V12 layout, but add 4 more cylinders to it and it becomes an absurdity.
Well that's the beauty of Cosworth, if it's them (we know it is!) they make it happen..
