Literally, they are inserting the two random touch screens and slabs them together which, in the end, lacks design harmonization. Plus, they look even worse when I witness them in person.
It’s a desperate move to please the Chinese market.

In reality, many cars often drive with a single occupant. Even if there is one in the front passenger seat, they will entertain themselves on their phone not a car screen that doesn’t/shouldnt, have their personal logins.🤷‍♂️

You go right ahead.
The S class is even worse than this. But both are horrible.
This.

Germans are in crisis, at least for now, since both of these are Facelifts, and had to make compromises. Usually the differneces were not as large as they are now between the outgoing design and the new, see NK and Mercedes Iconic, and every compromise just sucks. The only cars that are pretty good are the completely new ones.

Having no new A8 is just the icing on the cake…

I'm interested to see more pics and videos of the seats with different colours and materials and also the exterior in M sport and standard trim. But so far with the pics I have seen I was expecting more from this facelift but it's turned out worse than the pre LCI overall. The biggest disappointment is the interior. There are many new Chinese cars that look more elegant inside than the new LCI 7 series. As a BMW lover I am not happy to say this, but it's the truth.

Too be honest I think this facelift is a disaster overall. The front is marginally improved, I like the vertical light arrangement, but think the previous eyebrows looked better. The rear end looks terrible and I don't think needed to change at all as the pre FL had a perfect rear end with nice tail lights. The interior looks crap with the passenger screen, it would have looked a 1000 times better if it was only the center screen like the I3 and iX3.

Old rear (nice 👍)

The change of the tail lights reminds me of this where the gap actually looked perfect.

Maybe BMW is making the right decision to spare the shape and silhouette of the G60 5er/i5 and G90 M5 facelift taillight to be in the exact same dimension as the pre-facelift model. Just tweaking the inner graphics instead of reshaping/re-profiling the whole entire section of the rear lights would have been fine. Because from the beginning, the rear did not cause a significant number of issues in comparison to the front, which is a complete disaster.

I suppose it gives some scope for the Alpina to have a less brutalist exterior.

Well, if you look at the first approach to this FL, it seems like BMW also intended to make the 5er rear lights larger.

The have finally messed up the rear end. They have made the rearlights larger.

I swear, somewhere down the line they per accident swapped the intended lights for the 7er FL and the i3! The 7er facelift has rear lights in the spirit of the Vision Neue Klasse:

And these lights completely disappeared from the production i3

In the end, they f#cked up both the i3 rear lights and 7er facelift rear lights. Great show.

Sheesh, how long do we have to wait before the BMW press release?

I'm keen to see more info and model lines; so far we've only seen the M-Sport line.

Wow, a lot of "deep" analysis and conclusions based on a bunch of shitty quality leaks.
There's no sense of volume, brightness, depth, volume, or contrast, we're supposed to know that better here.
