This S cabrioblet vs RR Dawn argument goes back to perception vs reality. The reality is, from an engineering perspective, the S cab is a legit competitor of the Dawn as it's engineered to a very high degree similar to the RR (if not more so in some ways), but the perception is the S cab is the inferior product and that's what the debate is stemming from as people are arguing against that. I think it is what it is. In reality the S cab is so good it can compete with the Dawn, but in all things perception, the Dawn is still the superior car.

You're right mdartisian it is all about perception. These cars are outstanding .....no genuine car enthusiast would deny the desirability and superiority of both.

It's pretty simple actually, if you have to switch sides and go for the end of the spectrum, better go for the top, real not plated gold.

Don't bother. The MB boys can't handle it and have to make up stories on how BMW fans can't like luxury cars....

...But in the mean time, these very MB fans all love Porsche.

LOL. The die hard MB crew fully agrees with Merc1 of course. Nothing new.

Oh come on klier, it's no surprise BMW fans are so pro Rolls-Royce these days.

Having said that, nobody can deny BWW has transformed Rolls-Royce from a tired old relic of the former British Empire into a highly stylish 21st century brand ....they are pretty cool cars.

You can like whatever you want, but we like Porsche for what it is, you like RR cause BMW owns it..haha

Yes it's true. We are so enormously jealous of how succesful MB revived the Maybach brand, that we have no other choise than to love RR.

^ No no its just that if BMW owned 3M you would be a duct tape enthusiast:

It has nothing to do with any other brand.:)

Yeah, hahaha :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:
You rascal.

Was about to post some MB stereotypes, but I'd better not do that. Would be far to disturbing for you Artist.

I'm a duct tape enthusiast myself and still I don't have a problem admitting the S Class is a good match for duct tape, and for the RR of course.

Now, I'm curious to know how you feel about the Bentley brand compared to RR

I was having problems with one of the worst operating systems
Windows ever came up with, XP. It crashed numerous times.
that's interesting, I mostly heard people talk about how reliable XP was.

I reluctantly updated to Windows 10 from 7 a couple of months ago. Overall it's quite good ....but there are a few apps I turned off.
