I just wonder WHO would take a Mercedes over a Rolls.

I would. I Would not want to be seen in a Rolls Royce. It's far too 'look at me'. The MB still will garner attention through its sheer beauty, but without the brashness of the Rolls.

Well, but you are Mr. Mercedes for a reason haha

I would too,I never need a flash thing like a RR,besides I never like the design of it.

Fair reason. I do, however, feel that an S-Class convertible would be not far from the "look-at-me" factor of the Dawn.

As much as I absolutely love both, I'd have to go for the Dawn...That suspension, those seats and carpets, that level of comfort....It's just in a class of its own

The S Cabrio is on the streets here in the U.S. absolutely stunning car. Had a good look at the S63 Cabrio today at the dealer. What a car. Nothing else compares except the Rolls. I've seen a few Dawns in Miami and they radiate sheer money. These are the two best 4-seat Cabrios in the world by far.

I call for configurator screenshots haha
I always post 'em, so should you.

Build your own and let's see what looks better.

When making the decision, do I need to factor in the size of my car park, and the fact that the RR will make every single neighbour I have hate my guts ?

I need to move.

Ummm, there are also a couple of Range Rovers. It is the Rolls Royce which is the 'odd one out' here.

Being that the average cost of a new full size RR is now about $140k, they've effectively moved upmarket in terms of prestige versus it's predecessor, the L322. These are their daily drivers; a F12, SLR Roadster, and Ford GT are kept in the garage.

In this case, they are all owned by the same owner/family. it just shows that people do cross shop these vehicles.

Maybe there's some overlap, but I don't necessarily think that would be an indicator that these are constantly cross-shopped. Someone in that family values the (relatively) subtle yet overt high-tech approach of the S-Cab. And someone else is a bit more extrovert and appreciates a sense of occasion that comes with driving a Roller, a car that also has many tech amenities but is overshadowed by the cachet that is a Rolls-Royce. Or maybe one family member appreciates the attributes and differences each car brings, and thus bought both.
