Man what a monster the Rivian R1T is, it brings a whole new meaning to fast trucks. I still love the Cyclone after all these years.

Under the car , there are lots of issues ( lots of missing bolts , not tighten screws , etc. )

Also , I am no engineer in this domain , but aren't those exposed brake lines somehow dangerous? Especially for an offroad car

I've never seen an car with such exposed brake lines

MB has been dying to make trucks with someone. Anyone. ANYONE!
Even Nissan, and that was a big fail as we all know.
This has more potential.

Hopefully this is a massive come up for both companies. I'll say this, I've now driven the Rivian twice. It's amazing.

Obviously I guess but I want the Sapphire! I'm more excited by it than anything since the Vauxhall Lotus Carlton! And a McLaren 765LT too! ;)

I was told it’s a 5 minute fix
Does it matter? For that 5 minute fix most owners will lose hours , maybe even days if they are not near a Rivian center ( and they are not many ) . And front upper control arm and steering knuckle not tightened enough?

Man , I wouldn't drive that thing 5 minutes until it's fixed... Even if it's a 1% chance that anything could go wrong....

Didn’t they state there are zero instances of this happening to any owners car? It’s a precautionary measure. I’m not saying it’s not annoying but recalls happen.

fun fact, I rented a rolls Royce wraith for a month last year in Phoenix. It snapped a control arm. It was the weirdest thing that happened to me ever in a car. Just driving along and then it happened. I was told it’s a “known fault” on them. It sucked. So if Rivian has a 5 minute fix so that doesn’t haven’t to any owners and they’re willing to do it before that happens to any owners, good on them.
