Guys, in the text jesmb.de are only speculations based on the photo from the walkoart film. So it is not facts that this will be the case.

@Luca ,
so it seems and I must say, some interior diversification is more than welcome. It seems MB is giving the new E some serious attention. Maybe MB is positioning the future E more in the realm of the former S class iterations (superior long distance travelling with enough space, but still easy to use as a driver's car) and the S is going up to be a (even more so than now) eye to eye contender with the likes of Bentley. Wishful thinking, maybe, but I'd applaud such a direction.

Absolutely no way

Unless, of course, if they wanted to price both out of the market.

I'd be careful in saying that. Cars in the S segment are growing by every generation. Now BMW is giving it an extra growth impulse with it's new 7er. If you ask me, the growth is now more than exponential to the growth of us. As a driver's-owners car, they are getting less interesting; why carry all that weight and size when driving it most of the time alone? Public space is getting more and more filled with everything, leaving less space for cars. Besides the current public opinion in Europe isn't exactly pro-automobile. It wouldn't surprise me, if the likes of the S and 7er (not in very near future) are becoming more and more chauffeured limousines and the likes of E class and the soon to arrive 5er are taking over the gap, the void space left by aforementioned.

Guys, this is MB. They won’t give the E-Class a different interior design.

Zooming into the previous video the test mule does seem to be having a large horizontal screen similar to the W213 but it maybe also has a vertical middle screen

@Rolf, so which of the two is the real extension, the one posted by laylandi or the one with the supposed screen similar to w213, or both? it may be optional

Good question @Luca. I would personally wish that the horizontal screens be standard and the S-class and C-class style tablet optional.

A little bit similar to the W205 facelift in terms of the top horizontal screen design and layout?

I have got an idea that they mention two different types of interiors, a classic class c and s style, the other the one that combines a double screen in front of the steering wheel that runs vertically under the console
