EQE [Renders] 2022 Mercedes-Benz EQE

The Mercedes-Benz EQE (V295) is a battery electric executive car produced by Mercedes-Benz Group. It is part of the EQ family, and was presented at the Munich Motor Show 2021.
Base price is circa € 70.000 @Antti The one I configured is € 90.000

I did an exercise in my own region by speccing an EQE350 as I would buy it vs an i4 M50 as I would buy it and the EQE came out at € 95 000 and the i4 at € 80 000. To me that price difference is madness

The two vehicles are in different segments. why madness?

What does put them in different segments? Power? Internal dimensions?

Cross-shoppers may prefer the KIA EV6 over the IONIQ 5. Starting at just over 50K Euros incl. the 77,4 kW battery uprade + heat pump RWD, it can compare very favourably versus the M-B EQE. For those who are not obsessed with the brand equity of a Mercedes-Benz, the EV6 is a more prudent choice. Many may also argue that the KIA is more eye-appealing than both the IONIQ 5 and the EQE sedan. And it's interior looks and feels "high quality", the instrument/screen panel evoking a "Lucid" sort of vibe.

segments are determined by external dimensions. The EQE is a bigger car than the i4. Why would the interior space be smaller?

You have got to be kidding me. So a Skoda Superb is in 7er/S class segment?
I agree that on paper the EQE should not be in i4 segment. But since it's so f'ing shitty, it is.

If I'd have to buy with my own hard earned cash, I would never in a billion years take an i4 or EQE over a Huyndai Ionic 5. Simply not worth it.

you are so ignorant. The outer dimensions determine the segments. Anyone who watches cars closely knows this. Can a 4869 mm tall car (superb) be like 7 and S class? you are ignorant.

E class then. Is the Superb E class lever (which means E63 AMG 250k Euro over here)? No I don't think so. You can buy 4 fully loaded spacious Superbs for that.

Of course it should be. EVs have very compact drive trains. No comparison with ICEVs.

No doubt an Ionic 5 has more room inside than an EQE??

Mercedes is a premium brand. not skoda. Are you knowingly ignorant?
