Quite honestly I believe you're looking at the exact same screen in both pictures. The second pic looks trapezoidal because of the angle and the fact that part of it is obscured.

Its got a huge front windscreen compared to the E-class T-model and appears to be longer and very much wider.

Putting things into perspective. The comparison of EQS ,W206 and MOPF C238 prototypes is revealing.:

Watching this video, this is the first time since they revealed the concept where I am thinking, "Yeah, this may have potential." For awhile, I felt it looked like a bigger version of a Chevy Volt.

Ha it actually reminded me more of a Volt this time around....

The rear caboose looks more elegant now that more of the cladding has come off, so there's less of a Volt-ness to me. Though by the very nature of a sleek, more cab-forward silhouette, that sort of familiarity still exists with all the other camo cladding still attached. As cliche as it is, the details will (hopefully) further that chasm when we see it fully.

I watched the above video and I was admiring the gorgeous profile of the EQS until that magnificent, majestic V-class passes by. What a non-sense perfection. Cab forward, cab rearward debate ? Where to put the batteries? Space concerns? The BOX solves all and will never be replaced. Just needs keep changing its lipsticks to make it feel pretty

You NEED the V-Class, Bat-Guy ! Alfred can load it up with a bunch of discarded "Bat-Stuff" and hit the flea market circuit. That could bring a bit of welcome additional income in these troubled times.

Images of prototypes without the tall plastic cladding plateau that veils the actual form of the bonnet will be very interesting. I wonder whether the rear camo is hiding a subtlely nuanced notchback.

I am surprissed to see you have changed your opinion about the EQS? Not sure if it was you or Mick who disliked the capsule shape of the EQS and EQE.

Yep-I've become more open-minded with regard to the EQS. I was highly skeptical at first, bemoaning its' "lounge capsule" character. Some of the more recent video footage of EQS and EQE prototypes in realistic environments have left me surprised at my own realization that "there's something really interesting about these cars". Perhaps I'm simply beginning to accept that these automobiles will be representative of the automotive future that lies ahead of us. Times are a changin'.
