Mercedes are capitalizing on this segment of the market. The luxury class makes the most profits so why not add more models? These cars are not competing with each other, but will attract similar buyers. The EQS is for the environmental conscious sporty type people and AMG GT for the extroverted sporty people who want a sedoup with aggression.

That's right there are customers for everything, it's funny that they used to fragment into segments that then frangmented into niches and now fragmented the niches and this one in particular fragmented it into 3!

The S-class is all but confirmed, I'd seriously doubt the AMG GT 4-door would get killed since it's key to expanding the AMG brand. Mercedes has been mulling over killing the SLC and S-class coupe/convertible for several years now.

It's still almost totally covered up inside but the instrument screen and wheel look just like the new S class. Hope they will not use the same interior designs.

You're going to see plenty of shared elements, but no, not the exact same design.

I just wish it resembled the one in the concept. But I understand it's done for glare and whatnot.

I'm surprised just how good this cars' fundamental exterior design appears from certain angles.
The wheels filling the arches, the congruency of the flank architecture and the "not so extremely cabin-forward, pod-like" profile with an actual, albeit rather short, bonnet. The devil will lie in the details such as side-glass graphics, sculpturing, etc., I reckon.

I'd bet that's the facelifted E. It shows up before the new S as always.
