Impressive.

But it seems like if you don't option this screen you will have the S class like operating solution with a hugely disproportionate trim panel.

Really not liking what can be seen of the production vehicle rear shape, other than the light bar.

Could this new Hyperscreen UX actually simply be three separate screens - one horizontal one in front of the driver (like in the new S-Class), one vertical one in the centre console (also like in the new S-Class) and then a third horizonal display in front of the passenger (similar to the one in front of the driver in the new S-Class). Then these three separate screens would simply be placed under one big glass surface to give the appearance of a huge screen even though it's just multiple smaller screens. Would look like one big screen until it's turned on.
One large piece of gorilla glass !

Spot on.

They have made the center screen an unusual shape and is not rectangular like in other displays on all other Mercedes models and all other cars. It is a massive 17.7 inch in size. Wow

In the mock-up I saw I actually thought the center area had more than one screen. I was surprised to see it was one.

This is what happens when you throw some shit together under panic and duress instead of taking your time to create a uniquely Mercedes-Benz EV. This car is going to be a big non-event. Looks nothing like a Mercedes.

To be perfectly honest, this looks like the new dash of the Vito. Looks very Van-ish. Thoroughly modern though, but still.... So much plastic, so many fingerprints.

And overall just very cheap looking to me.

...and liking the screen panel more than the rest of the car...so far.

Hey-I can still get down !

But can you do the MAMBO?!?
These are the real questions.

It was born dated, it's shape is ugly AF and that won't change when they reveal it completely, it will still be ugly AF... As 99% of EVs.

Born bald and that didn't change

What exact technology here? Multiple screens sticking in one piece of plastic?

Seriously! Nothing new except a new bezel, which I find to be incredibly ugly looking. Hope the UI is up to snuff, but I doubt it this being a Benz.
All these f'ing screens.......

That's how the whole world is moving this is speed of technology you need to keep moving forward ...

Except you can make a good design of it.

So not this:

on a more serious not, it makes me realise that ‘electric’ car are really about mobility, the users tech experience, and less about the driving itself.

All cars, not just the electric ones.
Driving is done, over and out.

I don't get why so much dissapointment, you haven't seen the rest of the dashboard, central vents, upper/lower part and trims to draw proper conclusions. Under that big piece of matte glass is 80% screen, what's not to like?

Mercedes only has to get the range right, everything else will be S class level.

Matte glass....

I like to think of it as a giant piece of plastic with three old school 16:9 screens behind it's weird curves.....

Cheap.
