EQS (V297) [Renders] 2020 Mercedes-Benz EQS

The Mercedes-Benz EQS (V297) is a battery electric full-size luxury liftback car produced by Mercedes-Benz Group and part of the Mercedes-Benz EQ family. Production: May 2021- Model years: 2022–
Striking, interesting, it is obvious but nobody had done it before like this, I always thought that it was something that should have existed for a long time in some way, (basically they are screens integrated into a common cut-out platform), but they did it and it is new, now I understand what by "big"
In five years time this thing will be like an old Huawei phone, ready for the trash can.
Like any piece of technology, why bother to do it then, or why launch it on the EQS? since the car will also look dated in 5 years, I can't understand
Since we are positive, what else will happen in 5 years? I would love to know more about ..... the future

This does not rock my world. I guess it has its value technologically speaking, but I prefer other alternatives currently in the market.

What worries me is what can be seen of the EQS. That stupid rear bumper with that cheap piece of silver plastic trying to pass as the exhaust is something I will never understand.

"Zero layer", i.e. accessing the various menues (navi, tel, media …) directly by one touch without going back to the home screen is what the new S class desperately needs! No clue why they messed up the menue structure so badly in the new W223 if I see THIS.

What exact technology here? Multiple screens sticking in one piece of plastic?
It’s also about the ability to use technology, which I haven’t seen any other company do this well. Porsche and Ferrari has similarly 3 screens but look at that solution....

Btw, not sure if I was talking about this with @Jimmy or with @Matski, but this car seems to have the same problem with the rear end than the VFL Concept. That plain straight boot with the rearlights linked by a single bar and the logo below the bar just does not look good.

That's a design element that I really like ! Full-width taillamp bands forever, baby !

I know, I know you Dude ;). My point is that design element (not my favourite one, I admit it), can be done tastefully, like Porsche and Audi (on certain models only) do, or combine it with a plain rear end, like on this EQS or even in the EQC.

Yep, don't want to spoil the party but not a fan of what I am seeing here.

Read it all, verbatim I mean the cutouts and associated shapes giving rise to the physical elements and designed as a dashboard, although it is obvious, The EQS does not have a long rectangular screen like the one on the Honda

I was expecting a full wrap around screen at the base of the wind screen and dash like they had on some concepts. But this is very refreshing design and looks very futuristic and elegant at the same time

Mercedes nails the screens integration again. First was the S class in 2013 and now the EQS.

Same approach as with the S class, then we can expect the car to be revealed next month, or maybe March at the latest

The Mercedes EQS will be presented in April 2021 and delivered to customers in late summer.
