EQS (V297) [Renders] 2020 Mercedes-Benz EQS

The Mercedes-Benz EQS (V297) is a battery electric full-size luxury liftback car produced by Mercedes-Benz Group and part of the Mercedes-Benz EQ family. Production: May 2021- Model years: 2022–
FWD proportions, low hood-line that gives a minivan looks. Mrecedes design language is dead. And they've killed the legendary Cl/S coupe line because of this soap?

Cadillac Lyriq will be the best looking EV model.

It amazes me how many folks can be so judgmental about a vehicle's design without having actually seen the real thing. It's very reminiscent of the 'tweens' on forums who decide the "Bestest" car in the world based solely on 0-60 times. Yo bro, that car is fast AF, yo!

0-60 times matter! :D

The best looking BEV sedan is surely Polestar Precept followed by Taycan and the NIO sedan.

I'm on the same page as the past couple comments. I really think the whole EQ-line design language lacks inspiration or originality. They seems to be more focused on the details like the lighting graphics instead of the beauty of the car. The trees over the forest, so to speak. The Lucid, Polestar, and even Taycan are great examples of forward-thinking, beautiful design language.

Some of these shots leave me intensely anxious while others instill a sense of quiet optimism. Not even the S-class release made me this nervous.

This vehicle will stamp Mercedes as a true player in the EV segment or as a legacy carmaker still desperately trying to play catch up. It may not lead in range or ultimate performance, but it should be an absolute benchmark in terms of style, luxury, quality and technology. Anything less would just not be befitting of the 'S' moniker.

Man why you still don't get it,it's just the dull shape/proportions that already write it off for us whom already find it freaking dull..we needn't to look into details at all.

That Polestar Precept concept genuinely impressed me as well. And according to CEO and designer Thomas Ingenlath, it will see production with relatively few modifications. Here's to hoping that "the talk is walked". As for the Taycan: it's becoming increasingly common on German roads and in urban traffic. Real-life sightings accelerate my pulse. It's far more appealing than in photographs methinks. And having actually spent a bit of time in a Taycan interior, I must say that I absolutely LOVE it. The very-soon-to-be-presented NIO ET sedan ? I really like its' appearance as well. Arguably a bit more "conventional", but still...very cohesive and elegant.

I have noted your anecdotal ramblings and I still stand by my comment above.
