It looks so baller at Night
It should imo be one continuous line, because those gaps between the headlights and the middle strip are ugly.

I really don't see what is the beauty about having the frontlights be a single line of light. I have seen a couple of EQCs on the street and didn't find that particular design feature nice at all.

It seems to be a trend with electric cars. They started out mostly with light bar designs to distinguish themselves from the ICE car manufacturers, but today most new electric cars have light bar designs and I can’t say it’s that good, or it achieved its purpose well since they look quite the same, you can’t really make a horizontal bar in a 1000 different ways. Even Tesla with the Cybertruck, it’s actually surprising why the other models are more traditional looking. With the EQC my main problem is actually the main headlight unit and the DRL in it, it’s so soft compared to other models, like even the A class is better with its sharper headlights. This one on the other hand seems to be the first pretty good execution, where they have both a light bar and a quite aggressive overall silhouette. Hopefully we will see it soonAgree on this.
This seems to be becoming a bit of a trend - Golf 8 also has a version with a light strip.
I wonder if there is any technical reason for that, or is it only a gimmick. (Or am I becoming older and old-fashioned).
The spy shots didn’t show much difference in the UX layout so I wonder what’s this new solution. Also given that there is only 4-6 months between the presentation of the two cars I wonder how much better can it be over the S class solutionAccording to the MB-passion-blog it is understood, that the upcoming EQS is not going to share its infotainment with the 223-series. A new version of myMBUX will have its premiere. One massive screen across the entire dashboard will find its way into the new EQS. The driver AND co-driver can adapt this particular screen to their personal needs. A new AI-version completes the whole.

Hmmm, that's hard to believe based on how MB has been sharing a unique interior design across its entire portfolio and the spy pics of the EQS, which show an interior clearly based on the W223.

If you have already seen the car, how would you compare it to the w223?There's something going on with that 2nd pic. It looks sleeker than that. I've seen the exterior now and I think people will be pleasantly surprised but challenged by the design at the same time. It's not as bad as I was fearing but it wasn't love at first sight either. It looks sportier than I was expecting and has some body sculpting (not all flat surfaces) but the non traditional proportions are still giving me pause. The daylight opening is exaggerated and I have to imagine that looks cool from the inside but it caught me off guard in the quick glance that I got.
This still continues to be the most telling spy pic imo, even though it was one of the earliest:

After having been so skeptical at first, I'm now eagerly awaiting this cars' official presentation. Now, I'm becoming increasingly confident that the EQS' design, inside and out, will impress large numbers of those who were/are skeptical (like myself).
