F-Type [Renders] 2020 Jaguar F-Type

The Jaguar F-Type (X152) is a series of two-door, two-seater sports cars manufactured by British car manufacturer Jaguar Land Rover under their Jaguar Cars marque from 2013 to 2024. The car's JLR D6a platform is based on a shortened version of the XK's platform. It is the so-called "spiritual successor" to the E-Type.

crap/terrible braking - almost unacceptable in this day and age, tyre tech and width:

'stops from 70 mph in 158 feet'

= almost 38 metres from 100 km/h.

Put a fork in it - 2005 XK(chopped 2003 XJ)., 25 yr+ old engine. They even spoilt the looks with the 2020 update. Looks like an 'insurance car', especially with those awful wheels.

If you live in the US there are plenty of choices if you want a V8 car with a theatrical sound track. The only pragmatic reason to buy the F-type is the aesthetic. It's has the timeless beauty and purity of a DB9.

That braking distance is not crap, it’s similar to other cars of its type. Look up the braking distances for other similar cars they’ve tested.

The facelift thoroughly ruined it. Look at that retarded face!
I appreciate what the facelift was aiming to acheive which is to make it look like a new and harmonised with the rest of the lineup. However, very slim horizontal headlights and small grille has made the front end look more generic. It‘s lost some of its unique appearance and aggression.

For maximum viceral sound, the pre-facelilfted V8 is the one to buy. It’s crazy loud and characterful. One of the very few cars that, from factory, sounds like it has an aftermarket exhaust.
