Yes, the GLE may offer three chamber ABC with road surface scan, Mr. Mercedes. :)

The new GLE model will among others things presumably have an ABC chassis with road surface recognition, 4MATIC+ and come with a variant with 60 mm extended wheelbase [perhaps for China only?]. While the Plug-in Hybrid now has an electr. range of 100 km, MB Passion expects no loss of luggage space in the trunk - due to the built-in battery - of the production model. Optionally, a 3rd row of seats may be offered, as well as a wide screen cockpit, presumably with touch screen and MBUX.

Under the new 167 series, Mercedes-Benz will again be offering various vehicles, such as the GLE - as the W167 - and later also as the GLE Coupé - now as the C167. The GLS model will come on the market as the X167. Timewise one should be able to see the GLE at the earliest from June / July 2018, while the GLS will show itself at the earliest starting from December 2018. So far, however, MB Passion anticipated the first release of images of the GLE from October 2018, with the launch starting in January 2019. The GLE Coupe will come later - but MB Passion does not expect it to arrive before June 2019.

Thank you Wolf. If all of this comes to fruition the GLE may finally be vying for class benchmark. Let’s hope the design is compelling.

Aaaaawww, cute.

Why don't you sad bunch just let people have their opinion? Who the f cares what people think about your beloved truck.....

Yikes, didn't know you were so into the guy.

So I gather from what you're saying is we shouldn't develop our own opinions about someones repetitive and baseless opinions? You're just chock full of hypocrisy aren't you?

Looking a little softer. Headlights look a little too big and taillights look to be more like CLS...

Great news thanks Wolfgang. Nice to hear the GLE will come out with a super hi tech chassis as well.

So...it has been delayed? The internal information from Tuscaloosa I had was a SOP date of September 3, 2018 for W167, March 4, 2019 for X167, and C167 is October 1, 2019. Things do change I guess.

Is there a V167 still planned? New LWB GLE? There was never a V166.

Nope, it's right on schedule as the current model was introduced in 2012 (2013 model year for the U.S.). It just feels old due to Mercedes' dramatic design philosophy shift.

The W166 was not revealed that late, unless you meant GL X166? The W166 entered what looks to be pre-production at Tuscaloosa on November 1, 2010, ahead of actual Job 1 production on July 20, 2011. It was unveiled on June 10, 2011, as a 2012 MY (according to Daimler AG). Launch was in September 2011.

Would a LWB GLE-Klasse not be built in China? Especially if it is its predominant market?

You’re right, mixed up my notes.

A lot of potential issues with this new GLE...at 0:15 the read door is not closing, it must be close again, after that at 0:20 the trunk is not opening to the top, it must be pushed

no its not...its the 99% real thing. A prototype its for public to be shown...the real thing must be tested in a lot of numbers...for heavens sake

ewww no. Just no. No srsly, NO!

This car is a prototype built to test the new engines, chassis, transmission aplications, infotainment, driving aids, new tec & innovations. Each prototype is handmade and has absoluetly nothing to do quality wise with the final product.

OMG we’re judging quality on rough test cars and test mules??

M
Seems so, hahhaah, and it seems sometimes the quality on rough test cars are better than the final product like a class
