It's pretty obvious that one is the AMG Sport (43 or 50, whatever they'll call it) and the other the standard engine.
Or, it may be the sport package versus luxury look.

Shame...I feel sorry for the GLE. Judging by the spy shots of both models it looks like it's going to get eaten up by the next X5.[/QUOTE
Personally i think these two cars have a very different appeal yes there will be clients who swap but i see the ML more as a E class style SUV comfortable cruiser with a classy look in normal form..I think as the two cars have one longer they even more different just my opinion.

They just don't put any effort into this thing for some reason.
Agreed. They seem content with middle of the class rather than top of the class.
I think I might've mentioned this before - the the GLE/M outsells the X5 year-after-year in the U.S (some years by a big margin). Also the same for South America and Africa markets. It's something that puzzles me.
There's a good chance that this might be the first remotely attractive GLE, inside and out.
Yeah you have. Thank you.
Here the GLE is easily outpaced by the Q7 and X5.
But I’m not just talking about middle of the pack in terms of sales, I’m talking abut the quality of the product in terms of design, finish and technology. The GLe has never been a class benchmark.
Having spent some time in my friends GLE, I am surprised to say the level of comfort, refinement is excellent, the interior and build quality is relatively solid compare to the current gen of Mercedes. I will dare say it is the last car with that solid MB quality feel. But I’m not just talking about middle of the pack in terms of sales, I’m talking abut the quality of the product in terms of design, finish and technology. The current one is essentially 7 years old with minor freshening. Based on the interiors in the E and S, this is going to be a major leap forward.Yeah you have. Thank you.

It is a bit too early to judge that with all the camouflage still on the car, but you can see that the leading edge of the front wheel arch is quite close to the start of the headlights, so I think the car will have a short over hang just like the current GLE.Looks like they have extended the GLC, but forgot about the proportions. This looks like an FWD car.
