Beautiful little thing and yet - in spite what it stands for in terms of motoring purity - no manual transmission. A bloody shame.

And also, let's hope is not being over hyped like the Alfa 4C and ends overshadowed by new Megane RS

The original cars interior looks stunning especially those grab your love handle sculptured seats and the multiple chronograph style dials. Check the trumpets on the air intake manifold awesome indeed

Top Gear - Was a manual gearbox ever considered?

David Twohig (Chief Engineer Alpine) “I would be lying if I said no”, answers David. “It was considered early on in the project but we shelved it pretty quickly because okay, there’s a hardcore client out there who will always want a manual gearbox even though I can prove the dual-clutch is more efficient.

Talk about missing the point.

I don't think I've ever been behind the wheel of a car this light. It must feel like driving a paper airplane. So far the reviews have put a big smile on every journalist.

This car is a rule breaker due to its light weight. Only a Mazda MX5 I can think of a sports car that weighs 1100kg, but that car has nearly 100hp less than this Alpine. It must have super fast reflexes when changing direction and good steering. Great little car, I am really impressed.

^^
The A110 is a different animal compared with the Cayman. At half the weight, it's the closest you can get to a single seater without buying the death trap Ariel Atom.
