Random Thoughts...

Really have an intrinsic desire to own a wagon wafter now...

A E39 530i Touring would do just fine. :D

Ι am furious. I hit a @#$%^ pothole with the Clio, which has metal rims with plastic hubcaps. I bent the rim, broke the hubcap and destroyed the tyre. I put on the spare and it turned out that I must have bent the wishbone, because the car just refused to go straight. I am mad.

At least, if it had allow wheels, I would have seen the wheel break into two pieces. It was hard!

Sorry to hear about your mishap. Must have been one hell of a pothole.

Ah, this morning I discovered that the lower part of the bumper wasn't quite left uninjured. I'll post a pic of the destroed tyre a bit later tonight.

On a sidenote:

Hilarious error 404 page from a greek site:

The text on the left says:

Balls (in greek, a word closely related to b*llocks)

The page was NOT found, or the site is overloaded.

So stop refreshing the page and try again a bit later. YOU broke it!

:D :D

My car's in the shop so I'm currently driving a rental F20 318d, and I've gotta say I'm pretty impressed by how quick it is!

I drove a car with a carburator, a 1986 Suzuki Samurai, today. It was the first time after many, many years and it was a revelation. It's nice going back to the distant past every now and then, just so that you can appreciate how far today's tech has gone.

The most interesting comparison was that of the Samurai's brakes that didn't have a servo-assist and a modern ABS system. Huge difference and a true safety technology.

:)

The RAF Red Arrows had a show above my city a few days ago, and I gotta say that I was amazed. Watching these things in TV has nothing to do with actually seeing them IRL! These guys are awesome! It was a shame that the weather was shitty...

I wonder if this would work as a pick-up line:

"If you are dating an engineer raise your hand. Otherwise, raise your standards"

:D

Not sure if that qualifies as a pick up line. Rather walk around with a boner, it may yield more entertaining results

When I saw this article about the Kai Tak airport I remembered I once had a stop over there. Was an amazing experience.

Oh how I would have loved to experience that approach into Kai Tak ... or simply wonder around in the streets as these massive widebodies flew overhead!

It's gonna rock!

Guys, I need help. I just back-ed up this KickStarter project:

In return I will be receiving one jumbo print of those available. I am between the all-time-classic 911 and the needs-no-introduction E30. Which one would you suggest?

Glad you enjoyed them. I know a couple of the pilots from my own days as a pilot in the RAF. Good guys and flying skills WAY better than I could ever hope to have.

My primary school's sports field was directly underneath the flight path of plans landing at Kai Tak airport, it was pretty surreal to see such a huge object flying so closely to the ground, and just clearing the surrounding buildings.

You get used to seeing these things above your head as you walk on the streets, however the noise from these planes were definitely not good for my ears.
