The advertising on GCF is completely out of control; it distorts all the posts, hides members' names, and takes up 70% of the screen or more. On a mobile phone, it's practically impossible to understand anything. Is this normal? I've never seen so much of it and in such a disorganized way. Does this happen to others?

Guys, the site costs quite a lot of money to stay alive and its only source of income is these ads. If these ads bother you that much, you can purchase yourself a basic account, which is less than a dollar a month, or a premium account and enjoy the full extent of the site, ad free, with added functions.

I mentioned it mainly because it seems like a system failure due to the interface distortion; in any case, the paid account recommendation is good.

Glancing through the various Vision BMW ALPINA comments on that dedicated thread, I now realize that I am now in a minority, if not in total isolation, regarding the signature ALPINA striping. Not that I do not simply adore ALPINA's (I most certainly do), but I've always preferred them sans stripes. Should Burkhard, from whichever dimension he may now dwell, be gritting his teeth with rage...so be it.

The more they've tried to minimise them, the worse they've got IMHO - though the B6 GT3 livered B3 GT3 road car wasn't to my taste. They did try and reinvent the stripe motif a little a while ago, but it never caught on, I've only seen this style on two cars...

It's a long standing joke with a friend that if I ever find myself in a tattoo parlour, I'll be getting my own Alpina stripes.

You're not alone; although I love the lines, I think this new approach to subtlety is also valid, since it doesn't need to shout it from the rooftops, being a unique Alpina bespoke design by birth.
In the derivative models, it's more understandable.
