Quattroporte Sport GT

The interior looks simply devine - good luck with the car - hope you enjoy it!

I understand from your experience that you have doubts about DuoSelect - frankly, me too. It'll be fun to see how long the clutch can last before it breaks... :D

The interior looks better and better with each new pic. I really have to give it Maser for offering a truly different alternative to the usual German suspects.

I loved the ride back home from the dealership. Don't believe what people say about the gearbox, hear it from me: it's hesitant at points but never jerky; you wouldn't notice the gearshifts unless you're really harping on it; auto mode is okay, city driving is relaxing and DS does it job well. We went on auto mode all the way and it was smooth sailing till we reached home. Dad would be switching to using manual once he gets into the groove.

Ride comfort is OK, no complains even on 20" and Sport mode.

I would of never figured Maserati would of struck gold with their first entry in the luxury car segment!:)
Good going Maserati, keep up the good work:eusa_clap

Nice update shots James.

Once again, love the interior colour :usa7uh:

Great pics James, if I were you I think I'd sleep in the car from now on!:D

how did i miss this thread? Anyway, congrats on this car Mirrage! Waiting 7 months must be really hard, am i right?
:t-cheers:

No idea, glad I brought it back to life. :D

Yes, waiting for the car made me quite hysterical. For instance, if I see another Quattroporte example on the road, I'll shout and act crazy and keep pointing at it, annoying everyone else around me. Also, I constantly peep into my neighbour's houses which have Quattroportes in them, hoping I struck at the moment when they were driving it off!

Yes, such infatuation... but now, when we finally collected the car, I kinda stopped my hysteria and in the process, kinda waning my prolific interest in the car... Kinda intriguing how it happens, huh? ;)

This is an update for anyone considering a Sport GT...

We have finally started to experience what owning an Italian car is all about. Reliability issues still plague this car. Here's a list of problems so far:

1. Hill hold not working from day 1
2. Electrical system failure
3. Engine control system failure
4. Tire pressure calibration malfunction
5. Sunken leather seat
6. Squeaky noise while driving

Well, one can't expect everything, right? ;) The car still sounds like a dream and looks heavenly... But a part of me still shouts for an S8 that would have been so much better a choice. Better in the sense that we get both reliability and luxury as well as exclusivity in one package. But it's definitely more expensive...

Now, here's hoping that the after the first month of ownership things will get better... The car's at the workshop more often than my dad can drive it. :eusa_doh:
