car overall resembles a lot like the maybach, which is a good thing.

they did well with the e class! but not sure if i'd choose it over competitors.

We are all anxiously waiting for better photos!

I can already say I think it`s a big step up in the elegant-sport factor compared to the W211, by a good shot. It seem to be a little more developed in those areas.

The sport package is going to be killer!

Amazing i really think that maroon/red one is awesome elagant and classy with a sporty stance i like the front and i love the rear wheel arches the rear is way beter then what i expected

All in all i think its a few steps ahead of the curent e.would love to see interor shots

A couple of years ago I hoped they would drop the four-light front look with the W212 but now after seeing hundreds of spy pics I've gotten used to the new more angular and evolutionary appearance of the E-Class front lights. The front shares the same overall family resemblance with the (W204) C-Class but the rear lights on the other hand don't have the Mercedes-look to them. I think I can get used to them though.

I have to see bigger pics but at this point I think I'm going to like it.

It means that I like it more than the actual E-Class. Well, to be honest, I like more of the front than the rear.

Very early for proper opinions - but my initial response = I love it. The front looks really good. I like how the nose seems to drop down quite low - makes it look more aggresive. The rear isnt that fabulous, but I think it is going to be one of those designs that becomes better with time. Not bad!

The same guy who posted the pics in Motortalk.de (car_checka) gave some hints at the different trim levels of the W212. I think he can be truste"d.

- The name "Classic" disappears. It's just not Elegance or Avantgarde, but isn't called Classic any more. It's the basic trim.

- This basic trim has three grey bars in the grille. It also has double fogs: DRL, foglight.

- Elegance has four grey louvres in the grille.
- Avantgarde has three black louvres.

-4-pot petrol diesel has no visible exhaust pipes.
-4-pot petrol has one, oval.

-6-cylinder diesel have two oval pipes (one at each side of the car).
-8-cylinder petrol have two sqauared pipes (again one at each side).

(he didn't said anything about 6-petrol or 8-diesel. I think it's oval for 6 and squared for 8, for both petrol and diesel).

For the lights:

-basic without Xenon-ILS, two fogs (one DRL, one fog).
-with Xenon-ILS, LED stripe.
-LEDs in the rearlights for all versions, but if ILS, you have LEDs for the rear blinkers...and also for the front blinkers.

Not really. No. It's slightly animalish the way say a lion is; it doesn't look all that agressive, it actually looks quite tender as such but "radiates" the sort of confidence that lets you know it doesn't fear or respect you. It's the king of the jungle. Yeah, that was just how a lion looks to me. Waiting for more pics.

Wow I love it!!

The front looks great. The rear is so 190E and W126! This is how you capitalize on your design esthetic. Audi designers take notes . Everything old is new again.

Very happy with this car. It's going to be a hit!

I think, the LED stripes will be only available with Xenon lights!

The standard Elegance will have the same double fog lights like the Classic.
