BTW it's one of a few Audi/Porsche collaborations which will come and is based on the underpinning of the Q5. A great foundation to build on because the Q5 is already one if not the best small SUV on sale.

We know it exists , not only at Porsche? But VW , Audi , Bentley and Mercedes-Benz.
Good job BMW are rushing the Concept "X" style to early next year.

Unless the information I have is badly off the Porsche is to be based on the Q5 and not the Tiguan. Apart from anything the Tiguan is a fwd chassis that is adapted to awd with the addition of the Haldex system, where as the Q5 is a proper full time torsen system. It would be the more logical choice to start from.

Q5 and Tiguan are two totally different platforms. With its longitudinally oriented drivetrain and more sophisticated underpinnings, the Q5 is a fantastic base from which to develop a 'baby' Cayenne.

The Tiguan is based on the Golf platform. All the suspension subframes are the same!

The latest Autobild has the latest information regarding the Cajun.
By the looks of it Porsche finally gets a Sport Activity Coupe ,
The new niche "Sport Activity Coupe" concept which is practically well known in the industry that Porsche believe they should have done that first before BMW.

AutoBild showcase the Cajun in 3dr format but it is known a 5dr will be available .

It will be interesting to see what comes next with now BMW and Porsche entering the mid-sized Sport Activity Coupe with the X4 and Cajun respectively with BMW now moving towards a design concept.
Audi , Mercedes-Benz and possibly Lexus cannot be that far behind.

Not that image . If you go into the latest autobild magazine , where you get the preview pages it shows a picture of a 3dr Cajun. Which looks like a inflated 911 or Cayman using the typical Porsche outline.

Interestingly enough industry rumours @ Paris suggest the new VW overlords have a plan for a Porsche compact hatch.
