^ and there the difference is much bigger....(tracktimes near identical though)

Now we need a test where the M4 GTS is quicker! Come on :D

Yeah they were so close to each other the M4 GTS could touch the paint of the back bumper of the GT3! Hehe!

BMW need to stop lying about its weights I'm disappointed there doesn't seem to be any weight savings between the GTS and a normal M4! Backseats removed and carbon bonnet but still 1600kg !?

If the GTS was the same weight as the GT3, I am sure we would see times in order of the GT3RS or even better.

150KG more then a GT3 is very very much

Not sure if serious.
Are you aware of the fact that the GTS is not a normal M4? Meaning it has a lot of EXTRA hardware on board. So it would be even heavier without the weight savings.

And agreed with @RS2000 4X4. The car is still far too heavy.

I'm well aware of both those "facts" my problem is that BMW claim that the GTS lighter when it's not. 1510kg vs 1591kg actually tested ,more than a 50kg variance is a bit too much. I know all these manufactures lie about their weights but with the CFRP that BMW often throws around I was expecting better.

What needs to be deleted / replaced:

- iDrive (shouldn't be available in the first place)
- Alcantara -> Carbon Fiber (dashboard, center console)
- Lightweight Materials (engine / transmission / monocoque etc...)

The 'S55B30' from M4 (excluding water-injection) weighs 452 lbs / 205 kg. (inline-6) 2016

The 'S70/2' from F1 weighs 274 kg. (V12) 1992

What sort of wizardry is this when it comes to F1 and DTM M4 that weighs only 1,100 kg with driver ?
