I see Chris Harris referring to the AMG's transmission as M-DCT, but in reality the M3's transmission is called M-DCT.
Good review nonetheless.
... And where does that quote come from and who wrote it?![]()
Sorry guys, I am the one to blame. I saw the video before I published the article, in order to write that small text. I messed up my notes a bit, and thus that awful mistake. I know, after all these years of activity here, such mistakes are humiliating. I am terribly sorry!

After watching this review it hasn't changed my opinion that BMW were having a laugh at the expense of its fans asking nearly double the price of a standard M3.
I merged both threads (Soup's & Giannis') into one.
Btw. here are the weight-figures measured by Sport Auto (with full tank of fuel):
1388 kg - GT3 RS 4.0
1417 kg - GT3 RS 3.8
1426 kg - GT3

In defense of the GTS it does gain a bigger, utterly unique engine in the process. Looks like a damn hoot to drive really. The only thing wrong with it in my book is that dreadful colour.
^If that had been the case then it would have been the mighty BS all the way, that thing sounds like Thor clearing his throat. lol
