C-Class [pictures] C-Class AMG - history

The Mercedes-Benz C-Class is a series of compact executive cars produced by Mercedes-Benz Group AG. Introduced in 1993 as a replacement for the 190 (W201) range, the C-Class was the smallest model in the marque's line-up until the W168 A-Class arrived in 1997.
My favourite still is the C43.

That makes it 2 of us.:usa7uh:

:t-cheers:

43 and 63 take the cake.

My favourite is also the C43.
It's obviously (for car lovers) not a conventional C-Class, but it's not as obvious and in-your-eyes as the C63. It's understated, yet looks very powerful, but stays really classy... I think it's the better mixture.
The 500E had that too...

As second favourite comes the C63, screaming power, and infinitely powerful and dirty. :usa7uh:

Then comes the 190, a classic. Love the shape it has.

The W203 does nothing to me: even I can't see it's an AMG... I like understatment, but won't give so much money to have the same car as my neighbour's 200CDI!

^Lol i forgot to comment about that when i first saw it,super ugly:D

So what's his plans now? C63 perhaps?:D

hardly, he is now driving a Saab 93 from year 2001 ;)

here is his C43 in the background (where it belong ;))

His car was a wagon?! glad he sold it :D

So what's up with that delicious RS4?

OK, this explains why new MB steering wheels are not very good-looking. The designers were told to use retro elements in the design and so they were inspired by this :D:

Notice how the interior of the 190 was well made, but appears CHEAP in comparison to the current W204. :usa7uh: :eusa_thin

Yeh, the materials and the quality are better with every generation. :usa7uh: Nevertheless I prefer the W203 interior design.

Oh man:eusa_doh::D

U don't have a back up on an external somewhere?:D

Nope. :(

It was a bad shot anyway. I'm sure the car is on google somewhere too. It's a purplish-blue S202 C55 AMG T-Modell. :usa7uh:

I actually like the W202 and W204 interiors the best. The W202 has that classic 1980s MB look and feel to it with a hue of modern design and a cleaner evolution of the 190 cabin. The W204 interior looks relatively modern and sporty.

Some more pics of the 190E-AMG, C43 AMG, C55 AMG, and C63 AMG to compare at various angles. You can really see some similarities between the W201 and W202. From the side and rear angles, even the W203 and W204 obviously share the SAME lineage (as much as many people hate to admit). The only thing that stands out from the rest is the front headlamp design of the W203. And I still say there is not much in common between the W201 and W204.

The wagons have always been pretty hot. There wasn't a W202 wagon was there?
