Petition to reinstate Jeremy Clarkson

I think you'd like to see him hanged if you thought it was possible

You can fabricate and exaggerate all you like but it doesn't make your statements true. I think Jeremy Clarkson should be sacked. Nothing more, nothing less. Not because I don't like him, but because doing anything other would send out the wrong signals. He physically attacked another colleague.

preferably after being found guilty of 'Treason against Political Correctness'.

Why do YOU and other people keep banging on about "political correctness"?! What has physical violence have to do with political correctness?! You haven't got the foggiest idea what you're talking about!

I cleaned the thread after you drove it off-topic already once. Don't make me do this twice.

That said, why do you attack Betty? He's made his point clear. No one has the right to punch another guy, no matter the circumstances, let alone because of such a reason!

Don't worry Giannis, I'm done discussing this now. It's impossible to reason with Emu and Lafars who have the logic that not being allowed to punch someone is political correctness gone mad. They want Clarkson to stay on because they enjoy watching his programmes. Sod what is right. It's completely selfish.

And then we have the comment below.

if i pissed you off while you were drunk you would more than likley throw a punch at me

I don't know what world some people live in when they think that throwing punches because someone pisses them off is a normal reaction.

Anyway, it seems the waiter on duty that night in the pub has come forward to give his side of the story.

This probably won't make any sense to our Spanish speaking buddies on the forum......

And to hell with consequences for everyone else. Then we can watch 5th gear, where cry-baby Plato decides which car will be fastest on track by how well it can drift beforehand.

This reaction to this incident goes well beyond this incident and everyone knows it. It was just a gift to some people.

And this incident is not much different from any other major scandals, Clarkson is outspoken, and deliberately provocative, that is fine if you are prepared to make enemies and accept the consequences because when he falls, there will be plenty of people waiting to push him down even further. That is just how the world works.

19 Mar 2015 — Tomorrow (Friday) Stig is taking our petition to the BBC, we need 20,000 more signatures to make it a million strong. Please share this link on Facebook https://www.change.org/p/bbc-reinstate-jeremy-clarkson

So that's nearly one million people who have absolutely no morals and couldn't give a toss which bigoted, offensive, violent presenters front Top Gear. The world is a very strange place.

This whole episode with Clarkson is completely blown out of proportion. The fact that it is getting so much press coverage shows that even if Clarkson loses (gets fired); he wins...

My take on this is simple: Never let your on screen persona become your off screen persona; meaning, if he was abusive to May or Hammond on the show (we have seen that); or if he said something completely inappropriate; it is still a part of his act on TV. If you blur the line between that and reality which he so clearly did here by punching a producer in the face; he should be let go for the sake of principle. I have seen people getting fired for a lot less.

I just cleaned the thread for the second time, as Emu derailed it for the second time - which resulted in him getting thread-banned.

I'm opening the thread again.

If I have to clean it for the third time, it will remain locked.

If traffic in London wasn't bad enough, today a tank driven by someone dressed as the Stig was used to deliver a petition to the BBC to reinstate colleague-beating and racial epithet-user, Clarkson. The police have to waste their time dealing with this rather than dealing with real issues. It's a complete embarrassment as far as I'm concerned and a complete waste of resources.

If only people bothered to sign worthwhile petitions such as those supporting human rights issues and not those trying to reinstate offensive and violent TV presenters pretending to stand up for the common man. "You just can't say anything racist nowadays can you, it's political correctness gone mad!"

I have just received around 20 "old" ratings from @Emu. Any chance somebody can ban this utter clown before he derails other threads on here? He's already ruined the P1 v LaFerrari v 918 Spyder thread. I don't even bother going into it now.

 How did he "old" you that many times in that short of time? My iPad would glitch at least for a minute.

He might be younger than you Betty. "Old" is a neutral rating as far as I remember so you shouldn't be too worried about it.

PS: Will someone make a thread called "Petition to reinstate Emu as a host of this thread", please?

I couldn't give a toss what reputation I get. It's just annoying not being able to see all those glorious "likes" and "funny" ratings in my notifications feed.

You might have more support if Emu punched a few people and used various racial epithets. The right to do those things are what people want to protect nowadays.

Only 20 old ratings? He has nothing on @Gianclaudio, he dished out close to 100 dislikes in a few min on some poor guy who are no longer welcome here.

Btw the mods are looking into this.

Yes, I'm on your side in this debate. The boss should be the one punching his employees not the other way around. Sometimes people think they are worth the same as their bosses... where's this world heading to I'm wondering?
People should be differentiated from Bosses and everyone should know their place IMO.

From my understanding the "fracas" happened during a work "outing." Unless, you work at mixed martial arts gym, no punches or altercation should be thrown at work, whether you're the supervisor or not, or whether you're drunk or not.
