Paris Hilton

Re: Paris Hilton already let out of jail

I seriously doubt that she will go back in. The judge said that his sentence specifically ruled out house detention, but she got it anyway. The sheriff who let her out will be in trouble, but I don't know what legal precedent there is (if any) to put her back in. I don't think there is any.

Okay, I thought she was let out based on overcrowding, which is normal. Now I hear that she has a medical issue, which is a pretty bogus reason to let her out. Many people serving time have serious medical issues and if she was let out based on that alone, then it's celebrity justice. If it was overcrowding, then it's routine. If the sheriff let her go after another days and said nothing about her alleged medical issues, it would not be such a problem for him and there would be less outrage. He should have just kept his mouth shut about her "issues". I think many of us know she has serious issues.

Back to jail for Paris!!!!!

Screaming Paris Hilton Sent Back to Jail

Screaming and crying, Paris Hilton was escorted out of a courtroom and back to jail Friday after a judge ruled that she must serve out her entire 45-day sentence behind bars rather than in her Hollywood Hills home.
"It's not right!" shouted the weeping Hilton, who violated her parole in a reckless driving case. "Mom!" she called out to her mother in the audience.

Hilton, who was brought to court in handcuffs in a sheriff's car, came into the courtroom disheveled and weeping, hair askew, sans makeup, wearing a gray fuzzy sweatshirt over slacks.

She cried throughout the hearing, her body shook constantly and she dabbed at her eyes. Several times she turned to her parents, seated behind her in the courtroom, and mouthed, "I love you."

Superior Court Judge Michael T. Sauer was calm but apparently irked by the morning's developments. He said he had left the courthouse Thursday night having signed an order for Hilton to appear for the hearing.

When he got in his car early Friday, he said, he heard a radio report that he had approved Hilton's participation in the hearing by telephone, but he had not.

"I at no time condoned the actions of the sheriff and at no time told him I approved the actions," he said of the decision to release Hilton from jail after three days.

"At no time did I approve the defendant being released from custody to her home on Kings Road," Sauer said

Paris sent back to Jail!!!!Thank God. I knew he will answer my prayers.

Re: Paris Hilton already let out of jail

I read this on another message board as how Paris was able to get out of jail initially.

But I understand that her shrink, after visiting her after her first night in jail, decided she needed a very large dose of whatever she was taking for nerves/anxiety, and that the dosage prescribed was in excess of what the Sheriff's Dept. deputies were legally authorized to administer. So the decision was made to release her so that she could take that large dose of medicine at home. That was the "medical condition" in question.

Pretty cheap if you ask me for her doctor to try to find a loophole to get her out of jail. That is probably why the judge was so annoyed.

Re: Paris Hilton already let out of jail

just was served today. Swift, cold justice.
That no good B*$@CH belongs there IMHO. In so many ways, she's no different than those who are already in jail.

Re: Paris Hilton already let out of jail

Wow, I didn't expect her to be put back in. I think the judge's decision may sit on shaky legal grounds. But he has a seriously large pair of bollocks! Good for him. :t-upside: :t-applaus :you_rock_

In my opinion, which is not educated and has not proven right thus far, the sheriff should be charged with contempt of court for letting her out in the first place. That might make her re-imprisonment final.

Re: Paris Hilton already let out of jail

I have always been willing to believe there was more to Paris Hilton than just some self-centered spoiled brat -- after reading that last news article, I can clearly see she is truly pathetic. If she had just quietly served her time without any of this rubbish, maybe people would have had a little more respect for her. Unfortunately, she has shown herself to be exactly what she has always appeared to be: a very childish and spoiled individual who honestly believes she is above the law and shouldn't be treated like everyone else. It's time for Paris to grow up now I think.

You are 150% right on this. Paris going to jail is the right thing to do. After all, that's justice!

Re: Paris Hilton already let out of jail

Now the only thing i want to see is Paris with handcuffs :D :D

Like I have said all along. Her father has a good team of lawyers and their job is to find loopholes in the justice system and that's exactly what they did. Don't be surprised if they find another one.

Paris Hilton back to the jail

Re: Paris Hilton back to the jail

It's so pitiful, I do have some sympathy for her though. In a way it's like sending a small child to jail. Paris is just so naive and pathetic.

Re: Paris Hilton back to the jail

Wow, some eye witness pictures. Can't say I feel sorry for her, she needed to get got. Her bony ass deserve to spend 45 days in jail.

Re: Paris Hilton back to the jail

You guys wanna hear something crazy? The same photojournalist who took those crying photos of Paris Hilton was the same person who captured this infamous photograph of the Vietnam war:

No joke.

Anyways, I'm glad she's being made to do the time. I was watching Larry King last night and it was hilarious to see Harvey Levin from TMZ.com vigorously defending this girl as though she was the Dali Lama. Just about everybody was playing lip service for some bizarre reason that I couldn't identify.

The reason Paris got the book thrown at her is ovbious: She's rich, famous, and has demonstrated her utter contempt for our laws. Had she not shown up a half-hour late for her court hearing none of this might have happened. Is she getting a harsher sentence than the average Joe? Probably. But the conditions under which she was being released on house arrest were so fishy that they require a "Jacko is innocent" level of disbelief to swallow. We all felt as though this was another OJ Simpson moment, where the wealthy were able to blatently grease the wheels of justice. For now, this feels pretty good.

Re: Paris Hilton back to the jail

That Vietnam picture was also taken on the same day thirty-five years ago as the Paris picture.

Anyway, the appeal will get her out of jail for the meantime. If she loses, she goes back in. I confess to watching quite a lot of the legal analysis about the appeal. Seriously, I watched it because I don't want to see Mclaren win the Canadian GP, but they will.

Some lawyers think the decision to put her back in will be reversed. Others insist that the appeal has no chance.

So long as Paris comes out of this looking like a moron, and not a gal who "fought the law and won" I'm perfectly happy.

I also hope that the true conditions behind her "illness" are revealed. It's one thing to say "she's been released as a normal part of relieving overcrowding in our LA jails," it's another thing entirely to say "She's being released because she has an undisclosed illness." That just smacks of strings being pulled.
