Cullinan [Official] The Rolls-Royce Cullinan

The Rolls-Royce Cullinan is the brand's first all-wheel drive vehicle, named after the Cullinan Diamond, the largest gem-quality rough diamond ever discovered. The Cullinan is positioned above the Ghost and below the Phantom in Rolls-Royce's range. Production: 2018-
The render is far more beautiful, but the actual product looks bad and fat with a pair of stupid dropping eyes,BMW had made a terrible decision on this project.

As a factual statement that remains to be seen.

Next year most of you will be singing a different tune in a good way about this car in this very same thread , probably on page 87 or there about.

Someone should photoshop the Phantom coupe pre facelift face on it. I think that would be lovely @Matski

Ha, I don't have the skills for that, but I did just about have time to narrow up the headlight and install a secondary cluster underneath... but only on one corner... :D

I also contoured the top corner of the wing to give it that 'cheek bone' like most other Rolls-Royces do, and tried to level off the top of the headlight a bit and tried to make it less sunken.

errrrr.webp

^Small change, big effect.
Now include a more coherent two-tone paint and a slightly descending roofline :) ... and, finally, this thing is looking quite decent.

Yes I see what you have done. Enhanced its facia so it looks more fuller.
Mansory will probably do that with LED strips.

That looks significantly preferable to what it is now.

I'm sorry but I think it looks f***ing awful. I don't even have anything against RR building a luxury SUV. I get it. I just think it looks awful.

No doubt a two-year waiting list will be used to support the argument that the buyers like the design, when the reality is for such a car, the statement it makes is much more important than the actual looks. With production so low, it's not hard to create a long waiting list.

Production volumes of Cullinan couldn't be so low as BMW claimed, because the sales of Ghost family(RR's volumes sellers) are really slow today, they have to increase the manufacturing capacities of Cullinan to meet the market demands.I guess there will be a lot of stocks of Cullinan parked in dealers's showroom floor in 2020,just like once hot selling Ghost family members.

Ghost will be 10 years old next March.
So we will see start to see the decline. Expect even more when the Flying Spur arrives.
The Phantom is accommodating those sales at the moment.

I am told we will see the first prototypes of Ghost II this Summer. Those that have seen it say it is as stunning as the Ghost initially was and will build on its exceptional character and dynasm as the RR limousine to drive without requiring a chauffeur.

Yeah the real life pics aren't really helping it any. It's the body. It looks like a regular car with a raised roof. There is no rugged SUVness to the body, it's just a old looking Rolls front with a raised roofline on a sedan body. It looks terrible.

Wraith and Dawn are relatively young, they were once hot selling in their first model year, but they are slow selling today,so dose Cullinan.

As I said in the Maybach thread, if you can charge enough for it, people will buy it. It's at that level where cost creates value.

Plus... V12! Always a statement worth making :D

Car looks fantastic IRL ,many are going to change their mind when they see it in person....all RR’s do!

I'll start out by saying I've got no real problem with the Cullinan, it's execution is distinctly Rolls-Royce, and aside from a couple of styling choices (ie the two things I changed in my Photoshop), I like it..

However, going right back to my posts when I posted my own spyshots of the Cullinan and Phantom 8 in March last year, it's on road presence does not match it's stablemates... I'm not convinced that 'in the flesh' would change people's opinions that much...

... well maybe it would for the interior, as too many people here judge the tactility and physicality of things simply using there vision...

... but aside from that, I think it's a case of what you see is what you get. Some people won't like that, some people will.
