M5 [Official] The new BMW M5 CS

The BMW M5 is a high-performance variant of the BMW 5 Series marketed under the BMW M sub-brand. It is considered an iconic vehicle in the sports saloon category. The first M5 model was hand-built beginning in late 1984 on the E28 535i chassis with a modified engine from the M1 that made it the fastest production saloon at the time. M5 models have been produced for every generation of the 5 Series since 1984, with occasional gaps in production (1995 to 1998, 2023 to 2024). Official website: BMW M
Are you blind or are you a stupid kid who cannot read? Where am I bashing on the base M5 or M5 Comp?
Your response to my comment regarding the Blackwing being quicker around that particular track was stating the obvious and reposting a video already posted in this thread. You suggest the car to be a 'slightly' tweaked M5 Comp and while being good is not worth the extra outlay. Like everyone else here, you are entitled to your opinion. And it is just that...YOUR opinion.

But if you have actually spent quantifiable time with the CS - and this is a genuine question because I always appreciate raw real-life experiences - then kindly enlighten me on your time with the car. For example, how is it the 'full electric seats are uncomfortable'? I presume it is because you have not only sat in them but taken a drive and can therefore give your honest opinion of said claim. Or are your opinions baseless?

At this point, I would rather take an honest reviewers opinion who has spent more than a day with the car than some guy on the internet.
Or maybe I'm just a stupid kid who cannot read.. ?‍♂️
an M5 comp has more upgrades compared to an M5, than an M5 CS compared to M5 comp.
Again, kindly enlighten me with the data for such a claim. I will gladly appreciate it.

I don't understand why M8 Grand Coupe is faster than M5 Competition. Both have same engine and M5 is supposed to be 100kg lighter. So should be faster ?!
Looks like the M5C was just sick in this test over 12s in the 1/4 mile is an indication. Just one of those CW tests.

I don’t know why you even bother. You really shouldn’t.

CS looks brilliant in normal BHG. I have seen a Frozen BHG, it is not a good look. Makes me wonder how amazing a non frozen Deep Green would have been.

"In summation, the M5 CS is a car that retains most of the regular M5's livability but is several magnitudes more exciting to pilot. Unquestionably sharper but simultaneously more graceful on a backroad, this is a BMW M5, unfiltered. While the Competition version behaves like a butler, obediently but passionlessly serving up speed when it's requested, the CS has a bit of an agenda of its own. It doesn't just serve, it goads you on."

CS, even a simple lane change is "tactile" and rewarding. Comp is numb by comparison.

I don’t envy the guys working on the G80 M3CS and G82 M4CSL they have a lot to live up to ….the M2CS and M5CS have been sensational.
Quite the contrary for me. There are obviously some people at M who really know what they are doing and given the opportunity and budget, will likely continue to roll-out 'special' versions. What I wouldn't give to be a part of or at least witness from R&D to final product. It's just a shame we have to pay heap loads more for what used to be the norm 20-25 years ago. The E39 M5 was brilliant right out the bat...but it's the times we live in now. AMG have their Black Series variants which tend to be quite spectacular on road and track.

BMW M

BMW M GmbH, formerly known as BMW Motorsport GmbH, is a subsidiary of BMW AG that manufactures high-performance luxury cars. BMW M ("M" for "motorsport") was initially created to facilitate BMW's racing program, which was very successful in the 1960s and 1970s. As time passed, BMW M began to supplement BMW's vehicle portfolio with specially modified higher trim models, for which they are now most known by the general public. These M-badged cars traditionally include modified engines, transmissions, suspensions, interior trims, aerodynamics, and exterior modifications to set them apart from their counterparts. All M models are tested and tuned at BMW's private facility at the Nürburgring racing circuit in Germany.
