It's a disaster. But cars like the Panamera Turbo S E-hybrid and AMG GT63 E Performance 4 door weigh even more.
But I believe the AMG also has like 100 hp more.

Yeah, if true...'only' 718 hp doesn't quite cut the mustard at this level. We will no doubt see a Competition spec with upgraded power and suspension tweaks but at this stage, all we are really seeing is luxury barges with tons of power and torque -- some of which will only be available for 10 second boosts at a time . You want edge of your seat dynamics, look to the class below. And going by today's C63, that won't last too long before we see M3's, RS4's and Alfa's at over 2 tons.

Looks better without the stupid black plastic lower bumpers.

Not sure how much wider they can make it. It's already a shade under 2m wide. Will be an absolute behemoth on the road.

Very interesting, although the color is horrible, it captures the aggressiveness that it will have especially in the front, curious to know what and how they will fill the kidneys, I don't think it will be like that with the same thing as the i5

I think BMWblog confirmed it's 2450kg or something crazy - based on some leaked press documents. Literally more than half a tonne heavier than a 540i.

It will have the current (= old now) M5 engine. Detuned even.

It’s inevitable. But entirely your(customer) fault.
It’s the cataclysmic modern response to all those that wanted more luxuries in their sports cars back in the eighties and nineties. Even their non EV modern incarnations weigh more than their predecessors.
