only difference is that Audi mates CFRP with aluminum instead of steel and they don't advertise the hell out of it.

@SCOTT27

Then again the R8 has super lightweight rivals like the Huracan,the Ferrari 488 and the McLaren 650S most of which already utilize some carbon fiber on their chassis/body... The 7er,on the other hand, utilizes carbon fiber against a traditionally very heavy competiton, including the massive S-Class, the A8,the Jag Xj and so on

Touché but the Audi R8 share its developments with Lamborghini's Huracan and is a sports car that costs a lot more than your average entry 730d. The benefits of cost effective in-house CFRP manufacturing by BMW.
This too, of course

Nardo Gray with Glut Orange
Several images with a two-tone R8 were posted recently on Audi Deutschland's official Facebookpage.

Opinions regarding the design of Audi's second generation R8 supercar are divided and if you don't know on which side you are, maybe these live shots of the range-topping V10 Plus versionwill help you figure out whether the evolutionary look suits your preferences. This particular car isn't actually a run-of-the-mill model as it has been pampered by Audi exclusive and combines a Nardo Gray body with a Glut Orange finish for the side blades.

A standard R8 V10 Plus kicks off at €187,400 at home in Germany, but this car has an Individual paint (€3,100) and the optional 20-inch 10-spoke Y-design wheels available for an extra €1,500. Moreover, it also comes with the LED laser headlights priced at €3,380 and most likely it has some interior cabin upgrades which have probably jacked up the price to around the €200,000 mark.

The original R8 was lithe with sensuous curves. I just don't get those vibes with this new car.

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
