Would now love to see a 4-dr coupe s65 AMG with both MBC and 4Matic. Black/Red, 21in wheels with 265/295 tires.

Guys, both me and Monster asked you twice to stay on topic and avoid personal attacks. How hard is it to conduct a civilized discussion like grown-ups?

@C4L this one is directed to you above all.

I am not going to leave any more off-topic posts after the first series of warnings in this thread, in case anyone wonders what happened.

I wonder. Maybe Wolfe can chime in (as he always does with the on the spot info), but isn't there a fifth or sixth S-Class model coming? SWB, LWB sedans, Coupe, Convertible, S-Class XXL and something else???

Tampons, anyone?

That is the best comment I have heard in a long time! Well done! Those guys were carrying on like old ladies tripping over their tampon strings trying to reach for the bingo button!

A Merc is a Merc, a BMW is a BMW and an Audi is well an Audi! They all have to look like each other family members of each brand or the public will then say they are looking like some Chinese car that has just come out! They all have their own distinct character design history and as well as trying to bring out new modern design themes. How their designs have evolved have been due to the teams of designers that have painstakingly spent long hours perfecting their own themes to arouse and please the public and steal buyers from each other. Personal feelings are always there for fans of each brand.

As for myself, I have always been a Mercedes Benz fan as my family have a history of owning Mercs, but actually my own car I drive now is a BMW. I love both brands because they have their own strengths and history and heritage, Mercedes Benz for supreme luxury, comfort, refinement and safety breakthroughs and BMW for their supreme driving dynamics, powerful and smooth engines, high tech features and sporty nature.

As for Audi some of their models appeal to me but lately I do feel out of the 3 their designs are the most boring and unexciting and they are new to this prestige sector (having joined as a competitor to BmW and Merc in 1994 with the launch of the Audi A8 and A4) so don't possess the same heritage as BMW and Mercedes Benz.

Bentley is an expensive VW in my eyes.

It's funny yesterday same like you I was curious to compare the S-class coupe interior to the Bentley Continental and googled a few images. I was actually shocked when I started looking at the Bentley interior in detail and noticed in some places it actually looks cheaper built than the Merc. The things that make the Bentley interior what they are and look expensive is the air vents (made from metal) and the leather used on dash, wheel, door panels and seats as well as the wood and carbon fibre or aluminium trim panels for the dash. The gear knob looks good but the switches and climate controls are all black plastic and look cheap, so does the navigation screen and switches.

The Mercedes interior leather, vents and wood trim all look as good as the Bentleys but it has more expensive looking metallic switches for the climate control, electric windows and seat controls, even the speaker grills look more expensive than the Bentleys and the seats of the Mercedes look more padded and comfy than the Bentleys.

Even the styling of the S-Class coupe is more sporty and elegant in some ways to the Bentleys.

I certainly will be excited when we will see the first comparison test between these 2 cars!

It's smaller and much sleeker. Someone even mentioned interior dimensions have shrunk.
i compared the dimensions and the new car is 68mm shorter, 28mm wider, 8mm lower with a 10mm shorter wheelbase than the CL.

Not sure if the interior has shrunk as well, but let's hope the rear seat space is preserved or slightly better!

Thank you Mr. Wagner, Thank you China's mega rich for making this opulence possible and thank you Dr. Mustache! This car is sublime!!!

I dont know what you want to say, but if you think the 2 cars look similar you honestly didn't look very good^^

Yeah that is so far fetched. That BMW is a beached whale compared to the Benz. A flop waiting to happen.

The Bentley is DONE. It is so outdated and for once out classed. The old VW switchgear is like 10 years old, but updated. Won't work in a $200K car anymore.

Now when VAG releases the first Bentleys, Audis and Porsches at the high end all on the same new platform they're going to be something. Unitl then, the Bentley Conti is done. Have a seat lol.

Exactly. It's clear MB has raised the bar but fact of the matter is the Continental GT's bones are over a decade old. VAG ain't stupid, they'll be bringing their "A" game quite soon.

On another note, I can't stop visiting this thread for new pics!

^thats why i reposted it.. and i think they are doing something about it..

Props to you though! :D

For all those who are thinking the rear is a laguna thing:

As yo all can see, a Daimler S-Class coupe already once had a narrow and elongated rear lamps, also a chrome strip above them throughout rear - so a nostalgic thing again and not copying the French ;)

I posted this picture already few hours ago
But as often nobody saw it because this audi/bmw/bentley debate. Can the moderator please do something about that ??

Thanks for posting that both of you

Is that the new AMG? If so, it's very understated.
