SLK/SLC Official SLK Facelift Info+Photos

The Mercedes-Benz SLK-Class is a compact executive roadster, produced by Mercedes-Benz. It was released in 1996 and was built at the Mercedes plant in Bremen, Germany, until the end of production in 2020. The former name "SLK" was derived from sportlich (sporty), leicht (lightweight), and kurz (short). With the release of the facelift R172 in 2016, the SLK-Class was renamed to SLC-Class in accordance with the revised nomenclature adopted by Mercedes. Under this scheme, roadsters use the base name "SL", followed by the model's placement in Mercedes-Benz hierarchy, the letter "C", being the roadster equivalent to the C-Class.
Even the standard SLK looks awesome! Jesmb.de wrote something about the "new" 3.5 litre V6 with 306 hp! I think, the press release will come tomorrow!

I like the steering wheel, but I don't like the standard exhaust pipes. Liked the oval ones better.

The AMG body kit looks good, the standard one is not my cup of tea with even more fake F1 body work. I hope they drop the whole fake F1 nose job for the next gen.

I am surprised the car is facelifted, it's still very fresh.

Sport looks good.

Standard. Yuk!!!!! Come on Mercedes, get your head out of your butt. Do they actually do any test markets for the look of this. It looks like the ML will be a dissapointing facelift.

I was hoping they would do something to brighten up the interior. Still very bland.

I don't like how the buttons on the command and seat heaters and all of that are no longer silver, but instead black. Other than that, I thought the interior was always quite sporty and nice.

I like it a lot, both normal and AMG. Love the front bumpers that appear in two parts, original, very very appealing.
Only thing, I would've preferred the rear diffuser in black, not painted.

I always found the SLK a bit too...smooth, now looks like it would be better!

I still think a standard SLK is a car for females :) the car itself look feminine. While the AMG verison make the SLK look macho :D

The "smooth" look is a result of too many round shapes, no detail is sharp or fierce except if you kit it out with the pre-facelifted AMG-kit which I like better than the new one. MB designed it not to look like something it's not, it's simply a glider like the SL. The popularity amongst hairdressers, fashion stylists and spoiled brats has tarnished it's image a bit.

wow love the ordinary aswell..gives it a more macho look..
the pre FL..was waaay to femenine in normal guise..

job well done MB:D

Diffuser sould have been flat black instead of the same color as the rest of the bumper. Someone want to make a quick photoshop to see what it looks like? :D
