Ghost [Official] Rolls-Royce Ghost (2021-)

I think, simply claiming that Rolls-Royce are simply trying to appeal to the Bentley crowd now misses the point quite a lot. Rolls-Royce's evolution under BMW has helped to differentiate it from Bentley's faux-old-money style look, and move it on from it's own old-money roots. Whilst conventional logic is that Rolls-Royce was luxury, and Bentley was performance, in reality since Rolls-Royce was taken over by BMW it has had to move to attract younger buyers for the future in a changing world, irrespective of what Bentley were doing - that's the reason for this 'aesthetic'. Rolls-Royce's typical aesthetic would never have come to fruition either under VW, it would have been more badge engineering.

I think they've both done a pretty good job of defining their own identities.
They’re both still old money by far in their presentation. Updated for sure but still old money mature. What they’ve done today is besides the point he was making. I took it as the garish interiors and firmer suspension and more power as a play for Bentley buyers, something they wouldn’t have done when they were together under Vickers. It’s essentially a sport pack for a Rolls Royce.

I, for one, am not crazy about the neon blue leather. Too Las Vegas for my taste.

Fortunately for those, they are not limited to colors that outlandish. Though, outside of going a bespoke route, the trim is limited to either carbon fiber-like Technical Fiber or black lacquer, according to the configurator. Which is a shame as I'd like the dark stained Obsidian Ayous in the Black Badge; it bridges a feel that's both traditional and modern.

They'll do whatever you want if you pay. Pay no mind to the configurator.

Black Badge - Black on Black, (It makes a lot of sense)

It does look good in black and in that gunmetal color. I would spec a dark tan interior with some sort of black untreated/open pore wood. Maybach needs to offer this type of dark chrome on their vehicles. It would make a WORLD of difference and town it down a lot. The Ghost Black Badge goes on the Ultimate Garage list now.

I really like that one and the all blacked out one. I would have to spend the $$$ to get my own interior with some type of actual wood. I can't believe I actually like this car now.

I am upset with myself for liking the "murdered out" aesthetics on the Black Badge, but I am digging. For whatever reason, the darkened chrome on the frame of the grille really improves the front's looks.
