WOW damn this thread just took off like a damn rocket

ohh well now my view on this magnificent car
I love the looks..as some of you know i was very afraid that audi would make it to identicall to the concept..wich we have been drooling over for a long time.. if it where so the R8 would feel old at release.. ( when i said this i got flamed by the 4 Ring Gang)..
And now audi deliverd..and made it even better than the concept..it looks freakin fresh and all my worries are gone..
i love the LED lights..they feel so futuristic and hot..the car still looks like a concept.. almost to hot for the roads..lol
so well done audi in the design department..

The engine is cool to..the car is quick..and there will be quicker alternatives so no worries there.. especially when you concider the price..wich is damn good for such a car..thats like lower than a M6 and SL55..

Now to the one thing that bother me about it.. its the plastic looking bars under the headlights.. ohh and it seem to have a large overhang..wich looks abit wierd from the profile shot..

anyways these are just small things.. all in all this is a killer car.. so congrats to audi..they are seriously kickin ass.. and a person who still dont see Audi as a threath to BMW and MB.. is a damn fool..

So that's about $132,576 USD. Personally I think that's way too much for an Audi based off of a Lamborghini platform, almost costs as much. I think $90+k to about just over $100k would be more appropriate.

Yeah, it seems like Audi really put all the cards out there and showed said "sorry world, for not bringing out sports-cars cocnepts we had before, to production. This is our apologie"

Btw, am I the only one who really ADORE those wheels? Hurray for Audi for not having such boring rims as they had 3-4 years ago.

It's the new Audi gearbox, the R-Tronic.

Two transmissions are available: a manual 6-speed gearbox or optionally the Audi R tronic sequential-shift gearbox. Here, too, the influence of the motorsport world is clearly evident, with a joystick gear-shift on the centre console and, most especially, the paddles mounted on the steering wheel, which are a long-established ergonomic feature in motorsport. The best illustration of this is once again the Le Mans winning Audi R8, which also enables the driver to change gear on the steering wheel.
