Taycan [Official] Porsche Taycan

The Porsche Taycan is a battery electric luxury sports sedan and shooting brake car produced by Porsche.
Why is 800km unrealistic? We quite regularly jump in the car and make 500km round trips to Trondheim from where we live.
Unrealistic because the battery would be way too heavy and big for a car that is supposed to be sporty. You don't need a bigger battery because the Taycan can be charged 100 more km in just 5 minutes.

So long as you can find a charger with the correct voltage, they aren’t everywhere, even in Norway high capacity chargers are few and far between.

As I said I’d be happy with reduced performance for greater range. I don’t need to 0-100 in under 3 seconds, 5-6 seconds would be perfectly fine by me.

The car is awesome no doubt, but I had higher expectations.

Turbo S name bothers me, will there be a more powerful version ?

I completely agree! But I'm optimistic that you can get that soon from other cars of VAG :)

A 911 Turbo S also doesn't have a range of more than 400km so it really is just about building enough chargers.

Shit wtf just came back from the dealers.
I don't know what the hell is going on... the front air intake at the sides ruins the whole front i can't deal with it..
It looks like the car is crying or has a joker make up on..
There must be a way to get that vent in the body color, if not im definetly out..

The rear seems to narrow also.. i have to see this thing in real life..

Right now im leaning towards flipping the taycan since im first in sweden and should be able to make some cash of it .. and ordering a GT4...or wait for the 992 targa GTS.

If anyone can find a configurator and prices please post them asap

Someone needs to explain why the heck they're using "Turbo" for trim levels. Makes no sense unless it's vaguely referring to the overboost.

Apparently no matte-colored, black-rimmed presentation cars. How refreshing is that ?!?

While most certainly very nice to feast ones' eyes upon, the presentation itself was a bit anticlimatic. Perhaps the excessive foreplay of the past month or two is the culprit. Seeing it in a real-life environment should be a treat though. A long, wide and low car that should ooze presence. Quite nicely proportioned, just the right amount of sinewy tension and pleasantly devoid of tacky ornamental tinnef. I love the clean, flush and sparingly partitioned sideglass as well as the shallow headlamps and rear lightband. A fascinating wheel/lower 2/3 body dialogue which is so unmistakably "Porsche". All very cohesive methinks. Certainly a candidate for the top step of the podium in my own little "most visually attractive 4 door sedoupe" competition. The promise that the tech holds won me over long ago.

I love it. And the numbers for the turbo s version are crazy, even more so once you realize that this is Porsche we are talking about and they are always conservative.

It's nice, but way too expensive. Also the range is similar to a Nissan Leaf. :ROFLMAO:
