Panamera [Official] Porsche Panamera

The Porsche Panamera is a mid to full-sized luxury car (E-segment or F-segment for LWB in Europe) manufactured and marketed by Porsche. The Panamera name, as with the Carrera name, is derived from the Carrera Panamericana race.
Still can't help it,the car looks like a wagon to me:eusa_thin

IRL it is then:D

The only thing that kinda bugs me Tycoon, is that those foglights are a bit bold! Other than that you've got your perfect front end!

I think you wanted to say that to Hassan, but ok.:D

I have no problems with fogs, btw... The only problem are too small rims on silver car...

:t-cheers:

Well the car has grown on me. I think I like very much, and i'm sure I will LOVE it IRL.
However, one small thing still bugs me: what are those silly rearlights? They really look awful to my eyes, with this white part stopping abruptly with no reason (not even matching the boot cutline)... It's a small detail though. I really like the car itself (provided it has big enough wheels of course), like many said it's original, very Porsche, and has a huge preence (look at how wide it is in the video...).

This is (contrary to the Cayenne) a very interesting car, and is exactly what I would've expected Porsche to come with. Something different, something unique, but of course something technically marvelous (I have no doubt it has been splendidly engineered).

Well done Porsche. :usa7uh: (can't say that for everything they are bringing to the market in those recent times...)

I wonder how MB, BMW and Audi are going to respond to this because it's truly a unique car. Competes with the CLS but with the big cars at the same time. Most importantly the Panamera will next year become a true hybrid like the Lexis LS unlike the S400 Hybrid and F01 hybrids which are just faux hybrids. Pair that with Porsche's high efficiency and you have a superb environmental cruiser.

The Panamera Hybrid will attract many of the high end S-class and 7er buyers. The mystery here is whether the hybrid system is designed by Porsche for Porsche or if VAG will get access to it, most notably the new Audi A8. Porsche are certainly challanging MB and BMW at their own game. The Panamera better come equally as well equipped other wise potential customers will be pissed off by having to add 17-25k for a proper Panamera.

Word on the street is that Porsche will unleash a power kit for the Panamera like the one available for the 997S models as well as the Cayenne Turbo. It is said to boost the power up 540-550hp.

Luw, that is so not a coupe. The shape. The shape is totally wrong for a coupe. Mercedes Benz's CLS shows what it takes to credibally call a car a foor-door coupe. [Stuck record, here I go again....] The key requirement for me is the coupe-like silhouette and a proper boot-deck. BMW tried the coupe stunt with the X6 and it's a fastback at best. Now Porsche with this... no, technically it has no design attributes whatsover to mark it out as a coupe.

The Panamera is a 5 door fastback - a shooting brake at best - and it falls well short of what should be deemed a coupe.

Maybe Porsche can pull a 21st century version on this theme:

Yeah a fast back is probably the most appropriate word. Love the ad though "Buy a Rover get a wagon free"

The front looks great imo, reminds me of some Ferrari but then I'd say the side profile and the rear is quite wrong.. this shape only works for short coupes, not these long sedans..

Looks like there's a clock similarly as in other Porsche models with the Sports Chrono package.

Lol@ that poor W220!

But seriously the panamera's profile is FAR from a coupe's one IMO,it looks like a modern day wagon to me or as Martin is saying a sport/fast back at best.:D

Isn't that a W210 Wagon with W220 front???

Anyways, the dead on front pic posted by Hassan above is pretty damn beautiful!!!

Well if you like it now you'll love it when better media starts dropping in. We basicly haven't seen anything yet!

Actually I like it but I don't want to rush into conclusions early coz I know what that will cost me :D

Ha! Someone is hungry for a Panamera S. But I feel you, contemplating the purchase of a Porsche opens Pandora's box full of options. A very expensive pleasure.
