Good color and wheels go a long way. The interior improvement are just right (not too much not too little). Would be nice if the Macan had rear bench back and forth adjustment to improve rear leg room. Still, would buy.

I am fine with the new rear. It seems they've placed the reverse lights in the light units instead of the bumper. That alone gets my seal of approval. Other carmakers take note: stop the madness that is having reverse light(s), turn signals, and/or brake lights in the bumper. A bumper has only one purpose: to bump; it's in the bloody name!

Truly amazing what a change of colour does. It looks fantastic in silver, I would buy it without hesitation.

Start of production for the new Macan

Series production of the new Macan has begun at the Leipzig site, with the first customer vehicle successfully making its way through the body shop, the paint shop and along the assembly line. Parts of the factory were adapted specifically for the model. The vehicle in the exterior colour Mamba Green Metallic goes to a Chinese customer. China has become the top-selling market for Porsche and with more than 100,000 deliveries since its market launch in 2014, the Macan is particularly popular. The continued high demand for the compact SUV means that series production is being ramped up more quickly than ever before: By the beginning of September, production of the new Macan at the Leipzig site will increase to over 420 units per day, meaning that it will match the high production rate boasted by its predecessor in just a few days.

Interesting seeing the drive shaft and other internal parts in Macan assembly line. Wonder if Porsche ever use carbon fiber drive shaft similar to the one used BMW M3/M4 in other models?

GTS model based on the facelift SportDesign package for BTO assuming Porsche follows the same design as pre-facelift model. SportDesign bumper compared to Turbo bumper from the green spy photo for reference.

Would expect Turbo/PP/Turbo-S model to equip 450HP+ as competitions up their offers. 2.0L 300HP+ base model would be a nice option if available next year.

They should have bumped that 2.0 turbo to an output closer to 275hp on the facelifted model. But then again, Europeans got slightly less power due to particle filter. I like the facelift of overall and glad to see more colors being offered.

I see, so US models don't get the particle filter. I wonder how easy it is to remove the particle filter. A few years ago people used to do it on diesels.
