Boxster/Cayman (981/987) [Official] Porsche Cayman (981)

The Porsche 987 is the internal designation for the second generation Porsche Boxster sports car, built from 2004 to 2012. In 2005, it was joined in the range by the new Cayman fastback coupé (project 987c).

Looks good, though they are so gleaming it's difficult to tell whether they are high quality renders or very retouched photos

Check out the tightness of the car. It's gorgeous and the rear is fuller and less anemic than on the outgoing model. Can't wait for more angles ad driving impressions.

so much win! though really predictable since the boxster came out. word is it will have slightly more hp (~10) than its boxster counterpart, maybe lighter.

It pretty much has everything I want in a car.... I'm quite excited. Fixed glass sunroof would have been nice though, but I guess you can't have it all.

I agree, a sunroof would be awesome in this Cayman. There were rumours about a targa version. I'm curious how that'd look - it might be implemented as a glass sunroof, though I seem to remember some officials from Porsche giving hints that the new 911 targa would go back to being a "true" targa, which I assume means a removing roof. If that is true, it stands to reason Cayman might follow the same philosophy. Not sure how I feel about that, as it seems very impractical for any longer journey where you have to decide in advance whether you keep the roof or not, as you can't very well stow it anywhere :)

Really close to a 911 in looks, some won't be able to tell them apart from certain angles. Still though, a very good looking car. Now bring on the Panamera facelift.
